If you look at the save, we have a conscript warrior fortified by Immo (inside the territory). Our scout noticed 2 warriors in Babylonian territory suddendly turn north when the warrior entered our territory. The other 2 warriors will get there within 5 turns, so we have some room to build an archer or something. The clock is ticking...

Immo warrior can't harm us right now so we should wait to see where other 2 are going. If they get close to Immo they are certainly going to attack. Untill than we should wait. Switching spearmen to archers could be short term solution. Also we'll have swordsmen soon.
Any war will stop our expansion so we should avoid it just yet. Especially because Iroquies will have their fast and strong UU. ANd our outside cities are weak.
I propose that we immediately connect iron without losing single turn. We have 3 workers near Iron. Also we need Barracks faster.

Invy, they are bound to move more troops in. We need to reinforce our outlying cities before they attack. War seems unavoidable at this point, it is they who trespassed on our territory, not to mention fortifying there with intention to stay.

We should get the Romans on our side. And more reinforcements or Japanactica will be no more!

I am currently analyzing the save and I will be back with my analysis on this situation.

Update I: For a peaceful solution the Iriquois will agree to an RoP no strings attached.

Update II: From my analysis I find the Iriquois warrior(s) to be of no significant threat to our country.

Our Fortified Spearman in Immo Vs. a Conscript Warrior has a 93.8% chance of winning.

Our Fortified Spearman in Immo Vs. a Regular Warrior has a 87.4% chance of winning.

Our Fortified Spearman in Furuyama Vs. a Regular Warrior has a 92.4% chance of winning.

Our Fortified Spearman in Epolenop Vs. a Regular Warrior has a 92.4% chance of winning.

I declare the Iriquois warrior(s) no threat to our land and propose to ignore them. If we must, for extra security, we can sign a straight up RoP.

Good point RM. Peaceful is better at this point.

I've also seen an AI tribe fortify on my land for a bit and then just get up and move on. I may have made a trade with them or increased the size of my military, don't remember, but this warrior does not mean they WILL attack.

I am, in favor of bribing them until we are capable of winning a war though I wonder, can somebody please tell me who we are in favor of invading to me it seems like we are vaccilating between Rome and Zulu/.

Bribing them?... Are we that weak? A ROP would be better though. Other nations would hate them if they broke it and it would increase our relations.

I fully support the ROP, it's the way to go. Although Civanator's figures show an almost certain victory in case of a sneak attack, I still want to avoid conflict while our frontier settlements are so weak.

i dont like the idea of a rop, well i just have a problem with the idea of it
we have to stoop down to avoid a small war

RoP is in fact more dangerous than a "banking deal".
If the Iro's break the banking deal; they loose money as well as their reputation. But aren't directly next to our cities (legally).
If the Iro's break a Rop they do get a rep-hit, but were free to walk up to our cities and strike us; while the RoP is helping them.

So: banking deal breaking hurts them and doesn't help them; Rop deal breaking doesn't hurt them and in fact helps them. I'm ignoring the treaty-breaking; that is equal in both situations.

We don't need to strike any deals with them. Why do you people think that the Iriquois can so easily knock us around? The Iriquois poise no significant threat to us for maybe 28-34+ turns.

I strongly oppose any deal with the Iriquois to pay them off.

That is true Rik. So we are at an impasse as to what to do. But we agree here that we have to do something to avoid a war right?

I don't know much about how the AI does things, but why would they go for us? And Immo, rather than Epolenep. If they want room, they should attack Rome.

I'm all for giving them a little gold to hold off.

They want to attack us because well... I have no clue how the AI thinks. They don't like our name?
