Welcome to Regent Town!
Message Updated September 19th, 2004
I am Mayor RegentMan and let me be the first to welcome you to Regent Town. It has been a great time being in the Zarnia province with the guidence of our fantastic govenor, Zarn. I am sad to go, but am looking forward to the future in the Hairando province. Famous world over for it's beef products, Regent Town is a city at the fringes of The Empire. It is now one of the fastest growing cities in Japanatica, growing so fast, in fact, that an aqueduct is already needed! If you have any comments/suggestions/questions, want to move to Regent Town, or want to place your claim on a building (third picture), just post in this thread. Enjoy your stay!

Updated for the next turn chat. What would we like to build after two workers? I want a courthouse, but we don't know what that is yet. Should we construct a barracks to train veteran units? This city is right next to Babylon, so if we go to war, a barracks will be very important.

As Mayor of Zojoji, I would like to welcome you to the ranks of Governorship, RegentMan. An excellent city you have here. Good growth and production.

If you ever come North, be sure to stop by my Office. We have a great many sites I can show you.

Mayor Cyc

P.S. Please don't let that Babylonian worker cross your city limits.

Mayor Regentman.
I think a courthouse is a wise choice. But if that is not possible you can consider to build a decorative and protective wall around your city. It helps the citizens defend by about 50%. And it is absolutely free.

But wait there's more !!

If your city grows bigger this new and improved wall will not block your expansion, it will open itself up to allow citizens to live outside the current city-limits. You will not even notice it is there then.

And we throw in a free "return the wall" feature; if you send out settlers and the city gets smaller; the wall will jump right back !!

That for only 20 shields. If you order today we'll even throw in a CD from the unknown band "Pink floyd". Something called "The wall".

Dial 555 - I-want-a-wall and place your order there. All major credit cards accepted.

*Picks up phone. Dials 555 I-want-a-wall* Wait... what's a telephone? ;) Great suggestion and presentation, Rik. I've stuck the order for a wall into my portfolio!

Well, Regent Town has completed the change over from being in the Zarnia province to the Hairando province. Farewell Zarnia, may your days be forever sweet!

Starting sometime in the Second TC, we would likely be able to construct Railroads.

Since the benefits of railroads are the same (instant transportation and +1 to Irrigation or Mines) whether the rail line is direct or serpentine, I would like you to ask your Mayors which tiles they would most like to be improved upon. Mined and Irrigated Tiles will be the only ones considered for these requests. (Doesn't mean I won't RR un"improved" tiles, but I would like to see your preferences.)

Please make a list (of 5 or so) tiles you would like to see be improved by railroads when we get them. Thanks.
