In the German civforum we have a poll every month where you can vote for your favorite civilization of that month - for whatever reason you like: because you recently had a nice game with that civ or because you like their colour or because you think they are simply the best or ...
So last month saw the Greece winning, and one reason for that might be that the Greece Soccer players had won the European Championship very surprisingly. ;)

What I want to know now is wether Civfanatics would like such a monthly poll too

So here we go with the 15 civilizations which can be voted for in the German forum this month too. If you like it, the 5 best placed civs would be eligible again next month and the rest beeing replaced by ten other civs.
So let's see what is Civfanatic's civ of the month!

The Iroquois. Since I couldn't beat AWD after like seven tries, I played a nice, peaceful Emporer builder's game with them, and cruised to (almost, not done) a victory without any effort. :D It was really easy; all I had to do was play by my reflexes. (That and some really fertile lands, and capturing the Pyramids early)

Is Inder India?

I've been playing Greece a lot this month, but I'm always on very good terms with Russia for some reason so that would come a close second, even though I haven't actually played them heh.

I've been reading a book on _The Middle East_ by Bernard Lewis, so I'm going to vote for the Ottomans.

Where can I vote for Babylon?

Celts have been :hammer: for me so far this month ;) .

In next month' poll.:D (If there will be one  )
The idea is to have such a poll every month but always with only 15 civs. So some civs have to rest and only the five best placed civs will be eligible the following month too. Why I started just with these 15 civs just look in the first post of this thread.

Just had an awesome game as the Celts, plus they have a cool UU (checkered pants!), so my vote goes to them. Maya come in second (just finished the Mesoamerican Conquest).

Despite playing 5 of 6 ganes as Ottomans to explore this unplayed civ (for me), I voted for the Germans. I love this civ. On the time I took a break from the Ottomans, I played Germany and had a rollicking close space race loss with them. I lost by one stinking turn!! But I like them, becuase they don;t have an early age UU, which I find makes for a harder game (or at least neutral) and that I play more balanced. Anyway, it doesn;t make it easier (as the Ottoman UU does).

I love playing germany. While they may not have the best traits in C3C, I have more fun with the panzer that with any other UU. Nothing like a golden age in the late industrial, producing 3-move tanks every turn in half your cities.

The Maya. In the COTM, they allowed me to survive a near-AW game at one point. Industrious and Agricultural means lots of bonus in the center square of the city.
