Got bored waiting for Daft to update his story so;
CELTICA!

When my friend gives me back my Empire Earth i'll put that kind of thing in to.
I wanted to play a game that expanded like world history. I would be aggressive and barbaric at the begining and more civilized as time went on.
Enjoy.

----

The Great Continent known as Eire which sat peacefully for millions of years was awakened in the Year of 4000 B.C as a wandering people known as the Celts settled on a great river, the lifegiver, Eireann. The people flourished and expanded and their leader, the one called Brennus ruled with a stern yet gentle hand.

(Eire)
Soon our great country stretched the entire span of the river. But this utopia could not last, a group of savages known as Samatians thundered into our lands. They made slaves of our workers and our wives. But the brave celts retalliated. Our warriors slaughtered them, we stormed there encampment killed their men and took their women and children as slaves. Never again would the Celts lie under the boot of an empire.
After this great battle we began exploring our continent. We met with another great nation, the portuguese. These people were sensible and could be great allies with the mighty nation of Celtica... if they knew their place. We met the Inca, the Germands, the Iroquois, the Dutch and many other nations.
Our Ships sailed all around the continent until we were sunk by dastardly barbarians! These, Inca, as they called themselves soon expanded out of there jungles and homeland of Peru into the forests of silk on our border. This could not stand! We attacked them with our warriors but alas! they beat us back into Eire. We made peace, for now. This left the Celtic people hungry with anger. They needed a scape goat and we gave them the Portuguese

(Eire after the brief Inca War)

The Poruguese had been colonizing the unclaimed area of northern Eire for centuries. This place, known as Gaul had always been looked at with hungry eyes by the people of Celtica. Soon our warriors began moving north into Gaul. They were ready for a real war, one that would bring honour to their families. This colony was known as Guimaraes was cut off from Portugal. It was the Perfect Target. It would burn within a year.

(the Walls of Guimareas)
Just as catapults and mighty Gallic Swordsmen were moving into position on the border. Brennus King of the Celts got a visit from a vast amount of People. He sat on his throne inside his palace as a young celt entered his green banner draped hall. The smells of Perfume and Incense from the Deserts near Germany filled the court.
"My King" the young one said nervously to Brennus "I deliver a message from the Emissary of the Iroquoian Empire, he says that-"
"hold you're tongue boy!" boomed Brennus suddenly. His voice echoed deep into his brazen light home "If the mighty Iroqouis want a message sent their emissary tell me not some young boy". The boy nodded and awkwardly scutled out the door and reurned with an Iroqouis boy of a similar age as his celtic counterpart.
"Lord Brennus, my almighty Cheif, Hiawatha, chosen of Ichi Manitu, demands you give us the secrets of working Iron, If you fail at this know our retribution will be quick and painful!" Brennus slunk back into his throne, seemed to ponder to himself exageratedly and then, nodded to a spikey haired guard in the far corner of his court room. The guard drew his sword and sank into the young Iroqouis' flesh. Bloody flowed onto the floor and was thick. Brennus stood. He walked toward the celtic emissary, noticing it was hard to keep his own balance on the blood.
"Were are the highest consintration of Iroquoian people?" The emisarry was trying to look away from the corpse as much as possible.
"100 miles south of here a regiment of warriors and many, many workers and settlers, i think they-....they wanted to make a new city.
"Good, find my generals. Tell them, to take two swordsmen regiments. Kill the men who fight, beat the men who dont. Take there women and children as slaves"

And so the Iroqouian dispute ended in blood and slavery. The Iroquouian government made peace a few years later, the Gaul campaign was put on hold.
In the next 5 years the Seige of Guimaraes and the Reconquest as it's remebered in Celtica (or the bloody butcharing as is in Portugal) began. The initial bombardment of the city effectively brought the once great walls crumbling down. Then our swordsmen flooded into the city and slaughtered the stunned defenders The women were first taken away by the men then thrown into shackels. Children were put to the sword and the fleeing peoples were rounded up and dropped with light green plumed arrows embedded in there backs. The city was burned until nothing stood. And a new city was built north of it. Celtica rejoiced, Portugal wept. And the war was over after peace was signed five years later.
Sudenly Celtica was fat and bored. The military was strong and the country ws only rivaled by the Incans of Peru and the Germans of the south grasslands. Who was there left to fight? Celtica now controlled all of the Eire buldge. Well there was the old enemy, the Inca. Slowly they had expanded closer and closer to Eire and there sphere of influence in this region was to strong and needed to be halted

Tiwanaku and Corihuayrachima was to be sacked, Machu Pichu, captured then ceded back to Peru after peace, effectively crippling Incan influence in this region.
Was this the right descision for Celtica? what if they Failed in there attack? They would soon become a puppet country for Peru and there destiny would be shattered. whatever the outcome, a long war with a powerful empire was ahead

So, YOU are the Anti-Daft!

No he's not. He hasn't once mentioned trees.

This sounds promising, though. :D

Here we go to anyone who is keeping up with this

_746580_300inca.jpg

The Summer of 130 B.C was a brilliant one. Crops were good, people were happy and lovers strode in the streets of Corihuayrachima. The city had grown well since it's founding its populace suberbs were protected by a new wall that sprawled up, strong and garrisoned by two full spearmen regiments. One guard who was stuck with evening duty slumped down on the wall late at night. His name was Huachuiti. Laying his spear on the battlement, he pulled out a wineskin and let it drip down his throat. The wine was from Gaul. The Celts maybe the old enemy but they knew how to make wine! The late of the night was soothing to Huachuiti, the crickets lulled him to sleep but he stayed awake like a good soldier. He breifly looked over the battlement. Half-asleep he thought he saw a flicker of light green among the trees but dismissed it as dreaming. His eyes grew heavier and heavier and the wineskin grew emptier and emptier. Just then he was awoken with a jolt by another guard with a torch and a stone axe.
"Huachuiti!" barked the officer. His name was Juez "You know the rules, no drinking"

"yessir" Huachuiti said as he put the wineskin back into his pack and gave a formal salute.

"Whats that over there?" said Juez pointing to a group of faint but distinguished torches in the night"

"nothing" said Huachuiti yawning "another caravan"

"No you fool those are Celts!" call the arms! As he said this a massive boulder from a celtic catapult slammed into the wall.

The opening of the Peru-Celtica war was at first successful. With the destruction of Corihuayrachima Army Group B moved on arrogantly toward the link up point. Until we were ambushed in the Mountains near Machu Pichu. The Incan barbarians fought in revenge of rape, murder and slavery. We fought but sadly only two regiments of Gallic Swordsmen survived and struggled back toward Celtica. Meanwhile the Celts and Incas fought a bloody battle at Tiwanaku. The fighting was harsh and urban, the Celts lost all but one Swordsman as they took the city. There were reports of canabalism amongst the incas as there food ran out, and the celts using incan children as fodder. But by the end of the month the green flag of Celtica was raised o'er the pyramids of Tiwanaku. This left the celts with one gallic swordsman regiment heading toward the link up point.
The Incas were desperate. They were at risk of losing there entire western empire. So there theiving leader signed a vile pack with the empire of the Iroquois to obliterate our holy empire.
The Celts fleeing, the incan onslaught were ambushed and annihilated in the Andes mountains. Leaving many iroqouis swordsmen open to attack southern Eire.

(disaster on the eastern front)

Sudenly Celtica was in need of breathing space. The Incas were barrelling toward the capitol and the south was already penatrated by the red-skins.
We needed peace and we needed it now! Our emissary met with the incan and peace was resolved in exchange for tiwanaku. But the Iroqouis wouldn't settle for peace and they continued toward lugdunum. Brennus knew that wif lugdunum so does Celtica. All over the Empire soldiers from all fronts rushed toward the southern front. It was to antiquity; The Scramble for the South. Battle erupted all over this tiny gulf and it became the most strategically important place in the known world. Little by little the Celts were regaining ground. Until finally in 90 A.D the Iroqouis finally agreed to peace.

(the scramble for the south)

And now it was time for Celtica's darkest age so far. The economy took a drastic crash after the war. Poverty struck deep into the country and something had to be done. Germany the second greatest nation on the continent next to the Iroqouis soon came to us demanding tribute in technology and gold. Our nation could not afford another war and relluctantly gave it up.

Our navy which lay dormant during the past few years was kicked back into action, not for military but for exploration purposes. We soon surcumnavigated the continent and returned to our main port, Alesia. The sailors got drunken and fat with boredom and poverty. This soon changed when a galley fighting barbarians up near portugal noticed that the sea stretched out unusually forward. The Galley called the 'Ulster' found a frigid land west of Portugal. It was enhabited by two tribes, the Aztecs and the Scandinavians. We soon found that it was an island called Glotheim and these were just colonists.
3rd_pic1.jpg

We met these colonists and found them moderatly advanced. We traded many things together. This effectivally brought us out of the Dark ages of 90 A.D - 280 A.D Little did we know it was just the beginning of the Clouded Dawn. We continued to explore until we found there home continent and met a powerful nation; the United States of America.

Back home things had gotten better. The pverty rate was down and the military was back with strength. Celtica entered the middle ages in a golden age. But lo, it wasn't to last. The observant celtic famer would notice a strong buildup of strange looking swordsmen flying purple colours. The facts were that there was a caonsentration of iroqouian swordsmen IN southern Celtica.
4th_pic1.jpg

What did this mean? Our officers told us that there were settlers in this large military force, so brennus dismissed it as a caravan heading to found a new city. But we also saw archers, swordsmen, warriors and no spearmen. something was deffinately up.
Our warriors stationed on patrol were surprise attacked by warriors wearing purple cloth. Our lines were driven deep back into Celtica. Lugdum was attacked twice and two spearmen regiments fell but we repulced the initial attack
5th_Pic.JPG

By the end of winter we began to gain ground in the south, but simultainiuosy we lost land in the north as iroqouian swordsmen drove deep into the country. Reserves were sent in that were stationed in gaul. These troops scrambled to defend the capitol and came just in time to drive the the iroqouis into the silk forest.

In the south our forces reached the gates of Caughnawaga and held a ferocious battle and we lost 3 regiments of warriors. And were pushed back once again.
6th_pic.JPG

Up near the Capitol enemy forces were in range of our workers building irrigation. In the forests of silk, the Iroqouis waited for orders. A young capitain of Celtica, Verciconderix. Led his warriors to ambush the camped Iroquois.

"remember warriors" he began "You fight for you're country, You fight for Honour, You fight for Me! Mai N'ai Umrai'!" he then lead the charge into the forests.

great work :goodjob: . with any luck this thead will not degenerate into blatant spam. you sound as if you are under pressure from the all the guys on your continent. can you put a map?

Aha! A new thread to spam!

Anyway, while this is no Daftpanzer, it still is good. I officially cannonize you as St. Communisto.

Interesting that you too have a war with the Incans...

P.S. What is your policy on trees?

The Omega said:
This is rather violent compared to the Celtic Peacekeepers.....Oh well! We just have to hope Das and silver don't find this thread!

Too late I have found it!!!!!No one can escape my wrath he is the Anti-Daft and hopes to undermine the one and only Daftpanzer with his hethan preachings. I condemn you all to burn in the fires of eternal damnation!!! Muwhaaaaaaa!!!!!

Ok seriously please continue

Celtica's Imperial Polocy on Trees and Tree Related Doing's
1 Cut 'em burn em'...... unless they bear food or are some kind of candy tree
2 If it is a candy tree worship it like the dickens
3 Give all the crappy trees to the Iroqouis
4 No wait! cut off the tree's head and put in in Hiawatha's bed!

Perhaps, perhaps... Albeit that IS alittle too radical. I'll say that you keep the oaks - they're loyal to you - but the rest a TREACHEROUS REBEL SCHKGRCUM (uh, I mean scum)!!!! You don't have to follow this suggestion, but how's about this - peel their skin off, crucify them, then burn them at the stake, and throw what's left at the Iroquois to freak them out.
