Long live the Reich! :king:

Reminder : Always look here to check status of the game, long-term policies and other notices.

Long-term policies : Wipe out the English fr our continent!

Does that mean we're gonna let them live on that little western island? A little island called 'England'. Who'd ever beleive it.:crazyeyes

Ha! That would be funny.

Knight-Dragon - You can pull me out of "retirement" and put me back on the roster, if its OK with everyone.

I am done working double-shifts for awhile (this year, anyway). Would love to join you guys again. I missed our little game (its not so little anymore!) and am glad to have free time again.

Just in time for Christmas-panzers, too!

You're on, joespaniel! :D I was about to PM you to ask if you want a round or two at it. ;)

Take your turns now!

Let's leave the English on that little island of theirs and rule the continent!

Today, the Continent; tomorrow, the world!!! :king:

Note - I've switched donsig with Ohwell.

Welcome back joe!

Remember that army of swordsmen we had when we were fighting Russia? Anyone know what happened to that thing? Did it die in battle?

Not army of swordsmen; army of two swordsmen and one horsemen. ;) Anyway I left it in the South to take out the southern 2 Russian cities and when my turn came back, it was gone. I expect our Army must have perished while fighting the Russian remnants. :(

You're up next after joespaniel. ;) Wouldn't want you to froth at the mouth .....

Suggestion - Don't build the Military Academy in Berlin. Build it somewhere else so that our captial can cont producing stuff, rather than Armies. ;)

Mind if I hop on? I get so tired of seeing these succession games interupting my diplomacy stories that I figured I might as well see what's so great about them :D. So, can I join, or do you already have enough people?

By the way, anyone waiting for the next chapter on "Grecian!", I'm finally able to get back to Civ 3 ('bout ready to kick the Christmas season and my science teacher in the arse) it should be up tomorrow.

I think we'll have a replacement army one of these days...

Toasty: If there's no room here we may need someone in the Rise of Rome game!

I'm going to sleep now. I find it's easy to be patient that way. I'll have plenty of time to play in the morning if Joe gets done tonight.:)

Just what I am going to propose! Toasty, you can sign up for our Roman game here. I'm afraid our German game is full at this moment, considering we've Mike off the circuit until after Christmas and 2 missing players.

donsig, we won't have a replacement Army. We're going to have a lot of Armies. Remember, you can have one for each four cities. We have a LOT of cities ..... :D

Reposting all my suggestions fr the old thread and reloading the game file ....

1) Need more defenders. Some of our cities only got one defender. :(

2) Also need to stop our luxury exports (for no good reason). Unroad our roads to all those luxury tiles that we export out and reroad back. This is my way to get around this 'bug' and if you have a better method, pls use it. ;)

3) We got democracy; may want to consider chging govt so our workers can work faster ....

4) Start railroading once the coal tile is roaded to our network.

5) Got 4 cavalry in Reading, another 4 in Riga and 8 in Koniegsburg (another 1 on the way there). HINT! HINT! ;)

6) Don't build the Military Academy in Berlin. Build it somewhere else so that our captial can cont producing stuff, rather than Armies.

Just trying to be helpful ..... :)

OK, Im back in the game! Woo-hoo!

I read your suggestions and will study the situation tonight. Probably post a summary in the morning, then donsig can go at it. :D

Nice to be back!

Some strategies:

-6 workers will build railroad in 1 turn on a grass or plain square with road. I will "stack and track" ASAP. If future players find stacks of six workers, thats me building rail line. BTW, it only works with OUR workers, not captured ones. Captured workers take double time with any task.

-Armies: Once the Military Academy is finished, build three armies immeadiately. Then the Pentagon can be built, which will allow us to build armies of FOUR units instead of three.

-Once we get panzers, build ALOT of them. Because I like them.

Isn't it 2 of our workers to lay a rail track instantaneously? No, wait; that's for an industrious civ under democracy. :p

If we're a democracy, our workers work 50% faster. ;)

Just trying to be helpful. :p

I loaded up the game...

Wow.

We have ALOT of cities. I usualy raze them when theyre so far from the capitol, but maybe we can use them to our advantage.

I am trying to formulate some strategy, that will allow us to pump as much as possible into science while maintaining a strong military.

Im thinking this: we kill England quickly, then go Democracy to avoid war-weariness. Non-esential cities produce "wealth", specificaly the ones far to the south.

I may also sell off some useless improvements, but judiciously ofcourse.

Egypt already has electricity! We must catch up! Maybe I can scare it out of her, its worked before...:satan:

I'll play in the morning as its late here now. I plan on doing alot of domestic tidying-up so we can focus on tech (getting panzers!) and building up (panzers!) to invade across the ocean (with panzers!). :D

Guten Nacht
-Chancellor Joseph II

Tsk! When you have so much to say, I thought you have already finished off the English .... :p

Get to it; otherwise I'll send donsig after you! :hammer: :D

Actually, for those cities to the far south and far far away fr our Capitals, why don't we : -

1) Max food production so that cities will grow fast.
2) Conscript the natives.
3) Send them to do guard duty or act as back-ups in some of our 'safer' cities.
4) Repeat as necessary.

Just some strange thoughts of mine. :p

One thing those cities do is keep the other countries from building cities there. It they did we'd just get distracted wiping them out. I'm beginning to think that it doesn't matter much that the newly conquered cities aren't productive. As long as we have our core producers the conquests can continue...:tank:

Yes, I agree on all points.

Ive only played two turns so far because I had to reorganize production in so many cities, then redeploy our offensive units to attack positions.

They might be some English still left for donsig when its his turn.:D

The war begins now.

They have ALOT of units down south at manchester, way too many for our four cavalry in the area to contain. Watch it.

I have cancelled all the trade agreements by clicking on the bottom of the diplomatic window. I also got a 1 for 1 luxury trade with Egypt, who finished Shakespears 6 turns ahead of us. I will switch to Wall Street, and race for the ToE.

DO NOT GIVE TECH OR MAPS TO ANYONE ANYMORE! Thats OK in the ancient/middle age, but not now. Trade to GET tech and maps only.

Egypt is crushing us in tech! We must catch up! If we can have 1000 gold to keep in the treasury, it will generate 50 gold/turn with Wall Street, perhaps allowing us to add a percent back to tech.

We need more workers too. Im building more from the overpopulated Russian cities and useless far-south towns.

OK, back in an hour or so.

Death to England!:skull:

Great to see you back Joespaniel. I am sure you like what you see, being, we control the Entire continent pretty much. This has to be my favorite of all the SG's:D .

I guess Knight-Dragon is the head, I didn't like being the interim leader, too much work:rolleyes:

Speaking of Interim leaders, isnt there one for Afganistan right now?

A tale of English sorrow.

German troops take up their attack positions under the cover of darkness. The English are oblivious to the great horror about to be unleashed upon them.

EDIT: It reminds me of a map of Plan Yellow, May 1940.
