Hi all,
is there any editor which allows for making city improvements obsolete with discovering of certain tech. advance? If it's not possible because of game rules IMHO it should be changed
(exp. pack maybe) - e.g. Coloseum in modern times...

AFAIK it can`t be done, though it would be a good idea for e.g. colosseums to slowly(!) loose effect except for culture and having to be replaced with modern stadiums. One thing though: the upkeep ofr the old improvement should go to zero then!

Colleseums still exist, come on -- think of the HUGE soccer adn football stadiums!

It's a mechanics thing that they mysteriously upgrade, but ya know, thats coo IMO -- it makes sense

They transform the Colliseum into something else. Maybe someday virtual reality lightsaber Gladitors??

An old suggestion: how about the Collosseum looses it's happniess effect slowly (like 1 :) for one tech, then the second :) for another, but gains a culture point each. Also, a new improvement 'Stadium' comes along. This would be historically correct, and would add to the building aspect, too.

Hmm. Colosseums. Do you think in Boston with Fenway Park that place supplies a Happy face - or an UNHAPPY face. I think the latter.

Maybe your people just improvised the colosseums so that they'd have a roof, modern lights, a big scoreboard ect.

Sabotage: if so, how many of them would give incredible amounts of culture?

I'd rather have it that the old ones (way to small for moder times, too), give culture like Roman, or Greek ruins today, and we get a new building.

different for aqueduct btw, the Roman water channels in Colone stayed in use into the 502 (maintained all the time to be sure)

They repaint it to make sure all the lead paint is gone too, especially in those aqueducts.
