The Republic of Phoenatica
Culture Report 1130 AD

As we begin our third term of Government, the culture of Phoenatica continues to thrive. We have only one city without culture (Chondote), which recently joined our nation because of our high culture. We will work to see our culture develop soon there. Also, we continue to promote the growth of culture along our southern border, to entice the Roman and Greek cities to join our glorious nation! Also, we should celebrate the fact that PDX has reached the 1000 point mark, and Pherris will next turn!!

Justus, can you use that Apollo program to figure out when our cultural victory will occur?

Justus, as a lover of cultural, and with what I believe to be a bit of wisdom and intelligence, I'd love to represent you in the turn chat's in the event that you and Punkbass are missing. What would you think of that?

Justus, curufinwe, I was just listening to our councilmember at large, Rain, recite a war song (I think it is), Road to Moscow, and it gave me an idea. We should gather our bards and musicians to write songs for our great nation! Songs about the war epic at Justinian, our national anthem, and the other greats in our nation.

Very good, or perhaps poetry. We should do someting to represent our culture, writing things to store in our libraries (most interesting) and having University threads to teach others ona ll topics, I'd love that last one, as my favourite thing to do is to teachothers my rather siginficant knowledge stores.

Until we decide on our new turn chat schedule, I am going to post some proposals for cultural improvements over the next few turns. First, I think we need a library in Chondote, since it is our only city without culture. I have asked the acting governor (from the domestic department) to change the queue to library, so we could rush it. After that, I would like to develop a list of cities in our Cultural Assault Program that need temples, universities, etc. so we can prioritize what to rush. I am open to suggestions, and then we can put together a proposal for a poll.

Do you not have the constitional right to over ride the governor's queue seeing as that city does not control it's full 21 tiles radius. Only with War mobilization, or a time of invasion, should you be able to be over-ridden.

I've checked the constitution and I'm right, go ahead and it will be perfectly legal to over ride it unless we declare war and are invaded (where Military Head may change queues and is higher in COC than you are) or War mobilization (where Military Head is equivalent to president and is very influential)

Sorry, I've been watching a lot of Nickelodeon lately.

Maybe we should spawn this thing to another thread because this is definitely not the right place for it.

Nope it isn't. , I guess I'll do it if no one else wants to.

Here it is...

Justus and Punkbass (numbers at end are peripheral) perhaps we should delay further action of the Cultural Assault Program seeing as we are producing very little gold and putting it all into research. When Thebes finishes it's Forbidden Palace the increased gold and research should allow us to lower research levels and maintain similar amounts of research. Therefore by far increased gold per turn, thus enabling the Cultural Assault Program to continue. We would give the gold given to us for others to use (we need a lot of upgrades) or just store it for when we get Wall Street. What do you think of my plan? Also, when are we building Wall STreet, because that gold is needed ASAP.

I know it sounds like heresy, but what do you think?
