Ok, in all fairness, the picture of Genghis Khans is based more on fiction and reputation than on what he really looked like... Every other leader looks somewhat like what he or she is suppose to, but Genghis got the worst treatment...

I am talking BUTT UGLY!
Why not just have blood dripping from his mouth, as he eating a heart from one of his recently deceased enemies?

I know he was a butcher of many, but he was also a great leader and perhaps one of the greatest military commanders of all time...

sorry to rehash the topic again in another thread - but I had to stick up for the guy... what next? Horns out of his head, fire from his mouth? I can't imagine what the end game defeated picture of him looks like?

How do you know that the civ3 pic is Genghis Khan? Note the longhouse behind him. Mongols didn't have longhouses. Some North American civilization did, but i dont know which.

Northeastern woodland peoples had longhouses, such as the Iroquois.

The Mongols would have had a gir - a round movable house often carried intact on wheels. They still have them, though smaller.

Who is that in the picture to the left of Genghiz in the first post?

I think its supposed to be Isabella (of Castille)
Whoever it is, I whose dentist I would rather use :D

I take back what I said earlier. It is Genghis.*sigh* He looked much better in civ1.

Oh. Isabella. Spanish colors. Not bad.

all I am saying is give the man a face lift.. start with a light beard, mustache... and while your at it, give Joan of Arc breast implants :D

I'm with you ..... Give Joan of Arc some more action. :)

The dude deserves more respect. He does need a face lift. That is plain ugly. I'm wondering.. where did Firaxis dig this kind of look from?

Good God, that man is hideous! He looks more like some kind of cartoon ghoul than a human being.

As for Joan, I realize that her bowl haircut may be historically correct, but it sure makes her look rather dumpy. She couldn't buy a date to the first communion dance with that doo.

It's not as if Joan was a historical leader anyway (in the sense of actually ruling a kingdom), so why not assume that, were she to assume rule, she would try her best to look sexy.

This may just waste room, but i have to reply simply with: LOL
Also, in that picture it looks like he is happy. Can you imagine how much more horrific he will look when furious?

You know, he'll probably shape up once you advance into the ages. Dental work, etc.
