The province of Ameri has not had gubernatorial build queues submitted in quite awhile. Civanator has been appointed interim governor and a special election is underway. There is a turn chat scheduled for Thusday night.

Since we have no constitutional process in place for acting when a governor is MIA and since the governor should be acting according to the will of the people the President's office hearby submits for the citizen's approval the following proposal for the governing of Ameri:

Optimization:
Atlanta: none
Civanatoria: move laborer from irrigated plains to iron mountian
New York: put scientist to work in the plains
Philadelphia: none
San Francisco: remove laborer from hills to be an entertainer for WLTKD
Seattle: put entertainer to work on mountain

Build queues:
Atlanta: market (26 turns) / temple
Civanatoria: iron works (10) / aqueduct
New York: factory (13) / hospital
Philadelphia: granary (2) / factory
San Francisco: market (15) / harbor
Seattle: temple (4) / university

Notes: These queues require changing New York from cavalry to factory (no shields lost) and changing Seattle from galleon to temple (no shields lost).

There was no prior discussion to this proposal as time is short and the situation in Ameri is deteriorating. Please feel free to use this as a discussion thread for this issue.

Very good work. I agree with a lot of it but have the following reservations:
- No military units. I think military units must come from somewhere. We have the largest nation but other nations equal our military might. I think we should be dominant in this regard. I think the responsiblity must come from each governor to contribute.

- No settlers. I support the new settler program and wish there was a settler or 2 sprinkled in.

- Long build times. Maybe the market in Atlanta could be rushed? Would cost 104 gold to rush it now. Seems like it could help a size 10 city kick off a WLTK.

- Philadelphia. Barracks and Units seem like a good city to produce well for military purposes. Factory later.

I think that once Civanatoria completes it's ironworks and a couple more improvements It will be able to crank out military units galore. PDX will also be a great military recruitment center once Hoover Dam is built. Right now we have well over 20 cavalry and some infantry. the main powers on our borders (Greece and the Iroquois don't even have rubber.)

I think Istar might be better able to poduce a settler.

I like the idea of rushing the market in Atlanta. Care to fund this venture eyrei?

Istar should not be producing settlers, as it is the least corrupt province in our nation. Ameri is truly the best place to build workers and settlers.

Yes, I think rushing a market in Atlanta would be a good idea.

Why should we produce corrupt settlers and workers? :lol:

Istar should make some settlers as the cities of Istar can recover production much faster than our outlying cities. Ameri's cities take long enough to build improvements without sidetracking into settler production. Ameri's cities must be even larger than Istar's in order to generate a fraction of the shields.

Population growth in Istar is actually pretty mediocre. These cities will take at least 20 turns to recover from building a settler, during which time, they could producing many more shields and commerce.
 
I voted "other" but feel free to count it towards "yes". My main difference would be to rush the marketplace in Atlanta. And add a settler or two. I don't have the game in front of me (I'm at work), so I can't say which cities would be best, but I agree that we should be able to support producing at least one settler.
