Turn chat 1425 AD (June 23)

Turn chat 1480 AD (June 29)

Those around us still make war while we build our industrial base and our treasury. We currently have over 4000 gold stockpiled and are constructing a great dam that will power our factories to even greater production heights. The dam will be ready within sixty years and will be located in PDX. PDX is now our larged city with well over a million inhabitants and is now ranked among the top cities of the world.
We have upgraded some of our pikemen and currently have 45 regiments of infantry and 16 of pikemen. Our military academy will have a new army ready for us in twenty years and the Phoenatic Intelligence Agency will open at the same time. Our citizens are calling for the implementation of specialized battlefield medical techniques just in case our forces are called to war.
We founded a new city near the site of the recently destroyed Rhodes. We recently discovered how to refine oil. We have located three sources of oil within our borders though only one is connected at present. Our scientists are currently trying to find uses for this refined oil.

Please do not use this as a discussion thread! Leaders and governors should now be posting their turn chat instructions here!

WAR!!!

In 1475, Our newest city was donned with the name, Phoenix's Den. General Falcon also headed a massive upgrade program of our 16 pikemen to infantrymen. 14 were trained that year, 2 were trained 5 years later. Falcon was quoted saying to a new recruit, who adamantly refused to be an infantryman: "Our military needs to be up to date. If you disagree, you sign up for one of the Pike units and face the enemy's Cavs and Tanks and see if your opinions remain the same."

In 1480, Greece signed a peace treaty with England and the Aztecs. On the homefront, a sole Greecian infantryman was seen around Memphis. This so unnerved General Falcon, that he asked their commander to retreat back to Greece. The infantryman was asked to leave, and the Greeks declared war! That Pikeman who questioned Falcon must be feeling sheepish now...
