The runner-up of this election will be named the Deputy Domestic Leader.

Retirement Announcement

Citizens of Phoenatica,

After much reflection, I have decided to temporarily retire from politics. This is in no way a reaction to any of the somewhat disheartening events of the last term, as I had, in fact, been contemplating this since the beginning of the term. I simply do not have the time to fully perform government duties to the best of my ability due to increased real life demands. I basically need a vacation. I will remain an active citizen, and do my best to help out any way I can. After a couple turns, I may join the secret service that is being formed in Fox's Nest to help that organization get underway. I have enjoyed my tenure as domestic leader, and honestly believe that I have done a good job. There have been many highlights during this time, but most of all, I am impressed with all of us that we have managed to build nearly every wonder since the middle of the middle ages. All citizens should be proud of this accomplishment.

I believe I leave the economy of Phoenatica the most powerful in the world, and hope that it will continue to prosper under new leadership. To this end I nominate Chiefpaco and Cyc for domestic leader, and obviously decline my own nomination, though I am appreciative of the continued show of faith.

Thanks for the nominations but I want to go back to being just Mayor of Fox Nest and a regular old citizen. I will still be putting my two cents in but it is time for new leadership as we prepare to enter a new age.
