I'm trying to verify my stradegy with the Public. I fell pursuing an offensive until we can get an acceptable peace will likely be the best and most popular.

However I personally want to assimulate all of Greece into our Empire, but I doubt I could get support for that

I agree with filling out Kashmir (Oka included). Babylon is also at war with Greece. The other Greecian cities will merely be bonuses. I'd also like the incense (per Trade Department) at Corinth. They're practically in the history books now. So, any cities we do get, may be all that's left (after Babylon, and Rome are through with the Greeks). It'll also give us some added culture power.

Alex is in the wrong League. Let's send him to the showers. His day is done.

Fill out Kashmir. Those greek cities make the place look untidy :D
After that I say we keep on the attack until they fold. If they are clever enough to do that - Alex has shown himself to be a poor gambler.

I speak out against unnessesary blodshed!
Greeks or Phoenaticans (err...spelling) - we are all human.
However; the Greeks declared war upon our nation. THeir aggressive behaviour should not be tolerated. We should take measures to contain their aggression - though without destroying them completely.
I say we fill out Kashmir, but remain in a defensive stance. We should not pursue a "long" war.

Give them a lesson they wont be around to forget - destroy them all. They started this and we must send out a clear message to the other civs.

We took Tlaxcala from the Aztecs to teach them a lesson (there's still Aztecs living there!). So, let's take those 3 to the south, and maybe Corinth.

Oh, and Delphi has MORE SPICES! :D:D

Knossos could be a peace term (take that city for peace).
The Babs might take the remaining city.

I'd say do not finish them off, allow someone else to do that, for if we do a drop in reputation, not good at all.

So completely wiping out a civ drops your reputation? I never knew that. What about one that everyone hates already?

I don't think it matters CT. I do think curufinwe is correct. The trick is to take all but one city and let the AI take the last (the one of your choosing).

okay, unless people object that's how we'll do things, if take all of Greece wins out in the end. We'll leave them with one city, regardless.

The question would then be which city would be the best to leave them with, preferably the least valuable.

Our honour demands that we only do what is necessary in this war. Greece has declared on us but has not taken any other action against us. The infantry could have been on the way to China. Being the stronger nation, a pre-emtive strike on Greece is unnecessary. We should only counter-attack if they invade to prevent further war atrocities. I do not think the Greeks are "evil" as they are made out to be as they have not taken any other military action against us. We did not abuse our position of power with China. Should we then do so with Greece?

edit: an ofensive strategy against Greece is may also result in large military losses until mass arti are built or motorized transportation is discovered.

Zur, I would say that Grecian infantry was on his way to Philly to burn it down. He was definitely not going to China. The reason they haven't taken any other action is because we stopped the turn chat after they declared.
