Turn chat 1475 AD (June 26)

Turn chat 1525 AD (July 3)

A state of war exists between Phoenatica and Greece. We must draw up plans for the defense of our cities. We must determine our war aims and lay plans for reaching these objectives. We must decide what terms we will accept for peace. We must re-evaluate our research goals.

We have almost completed the modernization of our forces. We have only two pikeman units left to upgrade.

Please do not use this as a discussion thread! Leaders and governors should now be posting their turn chat instructions here!

Instructions from the President's office:

Get the new constitution activated and retire.

Concentrate workers around PDX to see if hoover can be completed within 10 turns.

Don't forget to vote! :)

Here are the build queues for Asphinxia:

--------

Get India to sign a trade embargo against the Greeks (Check their trades every turn!)

There is one note of concern: Atomic Theory. The next tech is Electricity (Hoover), and with wars, one great leader can ruin our Hoover project!

As of now the build queues are:

Cyrus - aqueduct, marketplace, cathedral
Heliopolis - hospital, barracks, artillery
Alexandria - cathedral, hospital, barracks
Chondote - granary, market, barracks
CSIM - granary, market, barracks

I am recommending the following build queues for New Cormyr Province:

Byzantium - temple, granary, marketplace
Justinian - marketplace, courthouse, granary
Macao - aqueduct, granary, bank
Pick-a-Name - university, marketplace, courthouse
Plexia - aqueduct, granary, marketplace

Plexia needs the mountain mined and then the hill with the RR mined.

For the final time donsig!!! Just follow the queue :)

Since we only played 1 turn last time, I will continue with the previous proposals:

Trade Embargos
Let them go, if the other civs ask. Let them continue if not. If, at any time, India stops trade with Greece, make an embargo of Greece with India (the only other civ that can deal excess rubber to Greece). I leave this checking to the player's discretion.

War with Greece
Foreign Policy suggests we can end war with Greece when they will offer something in return. Public opinion in that vote can overturn this though. Also, seeing as Greece may not have much to give up, I suggest being lenient on the phrase "something in return".

Turn 5
Rome
Check their attitude. If they are annoyed with us, gift them Medicine.

Science: 70%
Taxes: 30%

Keep research going as fast as possible. Allocate all funds over 1000 to the military if needed to facilitate a quick end to this war.

Don't mess with Phoenatica!

1480 AD and we were at war with Greece. After redeploying our defenses (using 2 regular infantry in our 15 border cities and vet immortals in our west coast cities) we sent out five regiments of cavalry to scout the Greek cities in Kashmir. They also pillaged a Greek horse supply. We found that all the Greek cities were defended by infantry except for Thessalonica which was garrisoned by hoplites. We dispatched a few cavalry and our elite immortals to that city. The actual opening shots of the war were those of our artillery shelling Oka. We sent in four regiments of cavalry to take that city and they succeeded though one regiment was lost. After capturing that city we formed two attack groups of 8 vet infantry and 6 vet cavalry each and sent them to Ephesus and Herakleia. We lost two ofour scouting cavalry in 1485 as our troops continued to advance on the Greek cities.
In 1490 we bombarded Ephesus, which is on a hill, and were then able to take the city using two cavlary regiments of which one was lost. Herakleia was much tougher and we lost five cavalry and an infantry before occupying that city. The Greeks were also able to reinforce Thessalonica with infantry before our elite immortals arrived. The Phoenatic Intelligence Agency (PIA) was opened in 1495 and around that time our scientists mastered the science of combustion.
The Battle of Thessalonica was fought in 1495. A regiment of cavalry opened the assault and defeated the recently arrived Greek infantry. The defense of the city was deep as evidenced by the remaining conscript infantry. Our elite immortals, the very same regiments once commanded by President Grey Fox in the Domino Wars, stood ready. One by one these ancient regiments attacked the city, steel blades flashing. The first in was nearly wiped out by the Greek infantry but their experience paid off as they held their ground while the fresh conscripts withered. The second regiment also faced newly drafted Greek infantry and the result was the same! The third of our elite immortals faced hoplites which proved to be no match for Phoenatic steel! The fourth immortal faced longbowmen and captured the city! Our immortals had beaten Greek infantry and all with out loss. Two regiments of elite immortals were left standing outside Thessalonica with no one to fight! The two regiments of elites that lead the assault are now guarding Fox Nest.
Spurred on by this epic battle (and the artillery rolling out of Phoenatic factories) President donsig advanced on Delphi from the north and the south. The Greeks once again occupied Cumae in 1500. The President almost burst a vein when our cavalry failed to dislodge the Greek riflemen in Cumae. He was heard to cry, "Where are my immortals? They would sheath their swords in the beating hearts of these riflemen!" Taking a respite in PDX (the happiest city in the world) the President decided it was time to sell the secrets of atomic theory since our great project was but 25 years from completion. The sale brought in 680 gold plus 315 gpt! Included in the Indian deal was our new supply of extra gems for Gandhi's silks. More gold was poured into research and developement...
Cumae was finally annexed by Phoenatica a few years later. The few remaining Chinese citizens welcomed our troops into their war torn city.
Rome and China made peace in 1510. Five years later our industrial scientists perfected a system of mass production for our factories. A means of motorized transportation is our next goal. The attack on Delphi also occurred in 1515. Despite a heavy artillery bombardment we lost a cavalry and two infantry in taking the city. Sensing the end of Alexander the Great;s empire, Hammurabi managed to ally with both Hiawatha and Elizabeth and soon England and the Iroquois entered the war agianst Greece.
In 1525 our forces lost the race to the Greek capital of Knossos. Even as we stood outside the city, Babylonian infantry occupied it. Hoover Dam was completed in PDX shortly thereafter. Upon its completion President donsig retired retired even as massive amounts of Iroquois riflemen entered our lands on their way to Greece...
