Gifts for the Iroquois

The Iroquois are requesting about 10gpt to maintain friendly relations with us. It is a small amount, when compared to our GNP but perhaps you think it is too much to give them.

What is the most appropriate gift, if any? Here appears to be our best options.

what would they be prepared to offer us for that incense? I'm currently leaning towards suggesting giving them the money and recouping some if not all of the expense by trading the incense with them, but I'd like a bit more info before I actually vote.

Insence has a gpt value of 24gpt. Alternatively, it could be traded for all their gold (215) and 13gpt.

I'm using Insence here as a token luxury because we can trade it to them this turn. Other turns, it could be another luxury that I could propose as gift should it be the most popular choice.

Then I'm going to vote to gift them the gpt, with the qualification that I think we should sell them the incense at a price that will leave the overall balance in our favour.

I'm in favour of keeping our rivals sweet, but also in favour of making healthy profits from them in the process, if at all possible

I'm in favour of selling them the incense and then gifting them an additional 5gpt on a later turn (say 2 turns later), for a toal of 10gpt. this may work until the other 5gpt gift runs out. Then we can either gift them another 5gpt or wait until the current 5gpt gift runs out and start gifting them 10gpt all at once. I have no problem making a profit on the incense or gifting the worthy nieghbors to keep them happy. We are doing very well as a nation financially, let's spread the wealth.
