I'm working on a new Star Wars Scenario having to do with the battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi. The map is divided in half. On one half is the moon of Endor, where as the Rebel alliance you must lead a strike team to knock out the shield generator.
On the other half is space (ocean) where the death star is. The death star is actually a city. The death star is sorrounded by shields that will be deactivated by taking out the shield generator on the forest moon thus making it vunerable. The death star can use its superlaser (nuclear missiles) to take out rebel spaceships.
The imperial navy is actually a seperate civ so that imperial ships wont enter into the death star and star destroyers wont carry the superlasers. The imperial navy consists of the Executor and Star Destroyers which carry TIE fighters, TIE interceptors and some TIE bombers. Imperial ground forces consist of AT-ST walkers, stormtroopers, troopers, scout troopers, officers and speeder bikes. The rebel navy has Home One (the HQ frigate), Mon Calimari cruisers, escort frigates, corellian corvettes, rebel transports as well as the millenium falcon, x-wings, y-wings, b-wings and a-wings. Some rebel fighters can use proton torpedos and concussion missiles. The rebel strike team has Han Solo and Leia Organa, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 as well as the actual strike team commandos. The ewoks have warriors, catapults, hang-gliders and are able to utilize booby traps.
I'm not sure what to do with the ewoks just yet. I could make them a seperate civ or part of the rebel alliance. I wish I knew how to make it possible for the human player to control two civs simaultaneously.
Most of the graphics are finished I just have to actually create the final version of the scenario. I'd love to hear feedback.

Sounds interesting.

I remember there was a similar scenario, released in 1997 or 1998. Have you played it? It used the same ideas: capital ships as carriers, land battle in Endor and space battle around it, main characters as units, etc. Human were meant to be rebels, ewoks were as separate civ, Death Star used event-created missiles for its shots (btw you should also use missiles because AI attacks only cities with nuclear weapons).
Use hotseat mode if you want humans to play with two civs like in Nemo's Second Front.

I've never played that similar scenario. I thought I had come up with a fairly original idea, oh well. As far as the superlaser attacking units; I wonder what would happen if I made the superlaser a naval unit instead of an air. It would "sink" like a trireme 100% of the time. Even if it did attack units I bet the a.i. would cheat and the superlaser would never "sink" or the unit would hang around the death star. The reason I really want the superlaser to have nuclear capabilities is so a players strategy would alter. Since adjacent units would be obliterated it would be wise to engage the star destroyers at point blank range, just like in the movie. It looks like the superlaser will just have to be a cruise missile though. I'm toying with the idea that maybe the capital ships should carry short range lasers (cruise missiles) as well as their fighters, so the battle would last long enough because it would take time to take out the capital ships rather than attacking point blank range and wasting capital ships initially.
I'm assuming the hotseat mode comes with multiplayer gold
edition; something I do not have at the moment. I am, however, able to play 2nd front as well as other scenarios that allowed one to play two civs at once with just fantastic worlds.

Also, does anyone know were I could get some cool sounds, I've already got good ones for the Walkers and Chewbacca.

You can create hotseat games using CivHot:

Yes I strongly suggest you play that scenario first before doing anything else. As I recall, it was very innovative. You might get some good ideas for improvements or give up and try a different theme.

What is this scenario called and where can I find it?

I'm with Koby on this one...playing the other scenarios can help you to capitalize on things that were not explored in their release. This can help to make your scenario to be more unique.

This is good point for anyone making a scenario, always do a little research for existing similar work. Examine the differences and similarities that you can use to make your scenario better. You should also keep notepad open on your machine and list the names of authors' for graphics, sounds, etc. which can be used in your scenario and be sure to record them in the credits section of the readme for your scenario.

There are a number of scenarios that get made as version 1.0's and then get forgotten. It would be nice to see these scenarios that were very good, updated for Civ II. Many of them lack events and better graphics or sounds that are freely available now.

Ok...enough of my surmon...
