Would you like to have the DemoGame RPG started for Term 5?

No, you don't HAVE to.

but you will live in a social welfare house in the slums of fox nest and have a lot of money on your account ;-)

A side-quest. ;-)

(or mini-game)

Will part of thw whole idea is to make it like Real Life. We already have the goverment and citizens, but all we have for the gorvment members and citizens to talk about is the running of the country. This could add fun to the game + possbily bring more people to the demogame.

it could even bring ppl to the game who normally dont play civ3, as it would add more to a roleplay game.

the design will be that the citizens who dont want to participate can just stay in foxnest without spending anything. they will earn enough money to live there, and they will even be able to travel after waitíng for some time.
if someone doesnt care about it, he can stay in FN and just ignore it.

Well, there's got to be a way that you can play your RPG without intefering with the Demo game, and also a way that I can play the Demo game without intefering with your RPG. Unless you could maybe throw out the Constituion and write up an RPG Constituion to replace it. No, that probably wouldn't work too well. Can't you think of a way where the two could run along side of one another without colliding? If at the start of the next game I wanted to move out of the Capital to some distant city, but not take part in the RPG, I should be allowed to do this. Or if some new citizen next term wants to move out to Kashmir and be a Mayor, they should be able to do this also. These things are part of our Constitution and should not be restricted by a second layer RPG. Just my 2 cents.

@cyc:
you can. the far out cities will take lets say 20 turns to found.
this means you already earned 100 gold by not participating in the game. if we charge 1 gold per tile, you could move out 100 tiles (well, i would prefer more like 0.1 or 0.5 gold per tile, rounded up to the next full gold).
with 0.1 you could move out up to 1000 tiles, which is almost around the world. we wont be able to build such far-out cities within 20 turns though.
you see, even with full ruleset, there will be the possibility for the non-participating citizens to move around the country. together with public housing in all cities and a free-startoff city (you can choose the city you like without cost when you register the first time).
if we use rules for it, they should apply to all. otherwise they would be unfair to the ones participating.

I believe the poll is going to be over within the next few days. Unless alot of people vote no I belive it's going to win. :)

This poll ends tommorow. If it is accepted by the majority of the citizens a voulanteer thread will be put up.
