Pre-emptive Poll - What should we do if we get 1 great leader?

Just so we don't have to stop the game in the middle of a great war, what should we do with this leader? (I'll put another poll for GL #2, if we get one/use the 1st in time).

As we have the Military Academy, there's really no need to spend a GL on an Army. As we've already put so many shields into pre-building the SETI Wonder (using the Manhattan Project) it would seem a waste (to me, anyway) to spend a GL on that. I would suggest keeping the GL, if we do achieve one, until we obtain the Genetics advance and spend the GL on hurrying the Cure for Cancer. By hurrying the CFC, we will be taking a step towards relieving any war weariness cause by the current war. I believe this to be much more important than the benefits given by SETI.

I'm voting other for another wonder (other than rushing Seti).

We can't hold on to the leader too long. If we do, it will prevent other great leaders from arising. In addition, the current war will see a lower amount of commerce funneled to the sciences. SETI will help make up for this, and thus should be completed ASAP.

We've already had what? 3 GL's so far? 4? The first army, Sistine, Bach's, and the UN? I think the chances of us getting 2 more GL"s in a short war are little to none. It won't take us that long to get to Genetics. And we will need CFC when our cities start to grow.

I'm with Octavian on this. Let's use a potential GL for SETI which will help us move forward.

Cyc, you never know what can happen. The RNG could work in our favor again. We seem to have been VERY lucky in getting GLs in this game. I've heard of people even getting 8 GLs in a game!
