Pre Emptive Poll #2 - What should we do if we get a second GL?

These polls are preemptive. Meaning what? (to you, Chieftess.) On this poll I voted for Longevity because on the first poll I voted for CFC under the option of OTHER, as you neglected to put the CFC up as an option. If you mean for these poll to be official, they should have had a discussion before they were posted. This would have given you some idea how to post these polls.
If we get two great leaders in the next few turns, we should definately sacrifice the second one to the One, because it is due to the One's favor that we are that lucky.

We don't have many happiness problems, we should aim to expand quickly. Longevity would be especially helpfull in our new territories and large, slow growing cities.

Got a GL, and don't know what to do?
In order of GL's
1) build an army get it a victory so that you can build Heroic Epic & Military Academy
2) Rush a palace or FP
3) Any other wonder that comes available

My previos post was not intended for a specific situation just general advice. In your situation CFC is clearly the way to go unless you need an airport on another continent and don't want to waste or have the Gold. Longevity isnt worth much at the stage of the game it comes in (It really doesn't matter if you build another wonder past Manhattan & Apollo until you gert to SDI)

I would like to remind everyone that we cannot get anymore great leaders until we use the one we currently have.
According to this poll we must use the leader to build longevity. However, we're currently researching miniaturization and genetics is queued up next. We're six turns from the former and who knows how many more for the latter. If we follow this poll there will be no more great leaders for a while.

Who's for Rushing the Manhatten Project then? We may not Use nukes but that doesn't mean we can't use 'em to increase our power rating.

I would much rather wait until we get Genetics. And the main reason Longevity won on this poll was because the way the polls were set up. We didn't use the results on the first poll because of the way that poll was setup. We need CFC before Longevity. With the extra happy people, we will be able to keep the science rate up. CFC allows for the double growth factor.

But we can start pre-building both CFC and longevity now as long as we don't rush Manhattan. (I think we need it as a pre-build along with the palace.) Let's use the leader to rush something else now or build an army.

I object to using a GL to rush anything BUT a Wonder. And an Army right now isn't as valuable as it used to be since we can just build 'em. My thinking is if we rush Manhatten now we have a good chance of getting another GL for CF or Longevity.

We're having Discussions about Wonders in two different threads now. The GL gets talked about in both. I agree with Falcon02 about wasting the GL on an army. It's not the right thing to do. I don't think we should rush the Manhattan Project. It's just a bad idea. Why do we have to get another GL quickly? If one comes after we build the CFC, then we can use it on the Apollo Program. I don't believe we should use up our GL just because we think we will be getting another one. We should save it until the CFC in Khatovar (

I see no point in saving the leader. An army would help to hasten the end of the war. I can go either way on rushing Manhattan. It's not the Phoenatic style but, hey, someone's gonna build it anyway.
Why not use him to rush an expensive improvement in one of our border cities?
The point is to use him now. Sure, we may not get another leader but as I've tried pointing out we can pre-build at least one wonder now...

Longevity is a mistake if he have not yet built CfC. The happiness effects of the Cure far outweight the advantages of population building through Longevity.
