Almightyjosh
Governor in Waiting
This Parcel has reached me from Greece:
Hello, I am Clio, i send this to you, governor Almightjosh. It is from the ambassador, Ehecatl Atzin.
Phoeneticans:
Our rooms are austere but comfortable. Well, at least mine is. I have a window to the sea and at daylight I can almost make out the inland coast, or I like to pretend I can.
After we met Alexanders son we were imediatly taken to rest. After I entered I vaguely heard a locking sound so I checked the door, and yes, it was locked. I was too tired to worry so I fell asleep without even undoing my shoe laces. I figured that, If they planned on killing me, Id hear the door being unlocked, besides, they didnt search us. hehehehe.
Turns out I didnt hear it, since I was awakened by the curtains being opened letting the morning light spill unto the floor. I instinctly reached for the dagger I left under the pillow and as I opened my eyes I was struck by the most beautifull vision, a true greek goddess not unlike those we found in the temples of our newly aquired cities, rich, dark blond hair crowned a statuesque woman, slim and fragile, filled with grace; the suns rays hit her in a way I have not seen them do with anyone else.
-Good morning, I am Clio. I will be your palace guide while you stay with us. she said as she did a small curtsy that made her look like a child pretending to be a young woman, endearing really...
-Um, mornin. Im, a...
-Ehecatl Atzin, ambassador to Greece from Phoenetica, oficial historian to Asphinxia province, descendant of royal aztec lineage. Correct?
-Um, yeah.. it is. as I clumbsly combed my hair with my fingers. (my familys history? howd she know that? I later questioned myself, for in that moment I was not fully awake and numb from her presence).
-Breakfeast is served sharply at seven oclock in the palace courtyard, prince Alexander wishes to speak with you then, please, we havent much time..
After a quick bath and a change of clothes (I was given a strange, toga-like robe that made me feel uncomfortable ever since I looked at it, stearing back at me with a malicious grin while it waited on the bed) -heck! when in Greece...
Alexander was no where to be seen. The gardens are impecable, a small separate section of the courtyard, away from where the funeral had been held. Lush flower beds and elegant olive trees surround the table where we were to eat. I sat and waited with Clio standing by my side. After about fifteen minutes Alexander came. He was escorted by two soldiers and followed by who I now know as the queen mother, Atropos. They both sat down, the soldiers left, so did Clio, and Alexander started the conversation.
-Why does Phoenetica visit us? as a servant served him some sort of juice.
-This is a good will visit, prince Alexander. We wish to strengthen the bond between our greek-born citizens, their homeland and their culture. We also wished to speak with the recently deseased king...
