This Parcel has reached me from Greece:

Hello, I am Clio, i send this to you, governor Almightjosh. It is from the ambassador, Ehecatl Atzin.

Phoeneticans:

Our rooms are austere but comfortable. Well, at least mine is. I have a window to the sea and at daylight I can almost make out the inland coast, or I like to pretend I can.
After we met Alexander’s son we were imediatly taken to rest. After I entered I vaguely heard a locking sound so I checked the door, and yes, it was locked. I was too tired to worry so I fell asleep without even undoing my shoe laces. I figured that, If they planned on killing me, I’d hear the door being unlocked, besides, they didn’t search us. hehehehe.
Turns out I didn’t hear it, since I was awakened by the curtains being opened letting the morning light spill unto the floor. I instinctly reached for the dagger I left under the pillow and as I opened my eyes I was struck by the most beautifull vision, a true greek goddess not unlike those we found in the temples of our newly aquired cities, rich, dark blond hair crowned a statuesque woman, slim and fragile, filled with grace; the sun’s rays hit her in a way I have not seen them do with anyone else.
-Good morning, I am Clio. I will be your palace guide while you stay with us. –she said as she did a small curtsy that made her look like a child pretending to be a young woman, endearing really...
-Um, mornin’. I’m, a...
-Ehecatl Atzin, ambassador to Greece from Phoenetica, oficial historian to Asphinxia province, descendant of royal aztec lineage. Correct?
-Um, yeah.. it is. –as I clumbsly combed my hair with my fingers. (my family’s history? how’d she know that? I later questioned myself, for in that moment I was not fully awake and numb from her presence).
-Breakfeast is served sharply at seven o’clock in the palace courtyard, prince Alexander wishes to speak with you then, please, we haven’t much time..

After a quick bath and a change of clothes (I was given a strange, toga-like robe that made me feel uncomfortable ever since I looked at it, stearing back at me with a malicious grin while it waited on the bed) -heck! when in Greece...
Alexander was no where to be seen. The gardens are impecable, a small separate section of the courtyard, away from where the funeral had been held. Lush flower beds and elegant olive trees surround the table where we were to eat. I sat and waited with Clio standing by my side. After about fifteen minutes Alexander came. He was escorted by two soldiers and followed by who I now know as the queen mother, Atropos. They both sat down, the soldiers left, so did Clio, and Alexander started the conversation.
-Why does Phoenetica visit us? as a servant served him some sort of juice.
-This is a good will visit, prince Alexander. We wish to strengthen the bond between our greek-born citizens, their homeland and their culture. We also wished to speak with the recently deseased king...

-Well, he is dead. As for the first thing, my citizens would “stengthen their bonds” if they were returned to us.
-(I did not expect that answer, trust the little prince to have a big mouth) Please undestand your highness, the recent war between our people has been setled and the terms were accepted by both parties. Your father...
-My father didn’t knew what he was doing, he was mad from beggining to end.
-Alexander, -cried the queen mother- please!
-It’s true mother! he was my father and I loved him but he betrayed us and that is why I ..
-Alexander, please!! –she interrupted again.
-Please you highness, -I urged him- that is in the past, let us make real peace. Let us not be clouded by the bitterness of yesteryears. We have come to sand the rough edges that scorn our relations.
-I’ve been informed you are currently at war with the iroquois. Do you plan to also take most of their lands and then visit them to “make real peace”?
-(My blood boiled, what a low blow!, -Octavian, do you still want a head on a pike?) -No, -I answered- our people have never attacked a nation on an expansionist wim, nor will we ever. We shall defend ourselfs against an attack, that is just what we are doing. (as I have no clue on how the war is going I hoped Alexander was not ahead of me on information from the front) Now please, tell me, why did your father attack us?
-Hmmmmmmm....very well. As I told you, my father was mad. He felt we could do anything, he thought our nation was too grand to be secluted on such a small piece of land. It was folly...
-And now? what about your present situation? the romans and the babilonians...?
-the legacy my father gave us...
-Do your people know of this?
-Of course not! it would be foolish to tell them!! can you imagine the riots?! the unrest! –spit could be seen flying from his mouth, I question myself who the mad man really is...
-What about the capital?
-This is our capital now, Atzin. Glorious Troy!!
-Alexander....-quietly said the queen mother as she ate a piece of fruit.
-what mother?! he asked! he did ask!
-Um, your highness?
-yes, (his mood changed drastically, from a maniac to a pasive little lamb right in front of my eyes)
-How did you arrive here? Only your father was escorted outside the continent...

Continued on 3

-We left before the war reached the capital, isn’t that right mother?
-Yes, we went into hidding, the minister of the interior feared for our lives. So the king stayed behind while we were transported here. And have been here ever since. –she talked while looking at her plate, not once could I look at her eyes.
Alexander stood up, his back to us and said: -Here, a lonely rock in the middle of the sea where my father’s memory won’t offend anyone... his grave, our grave.
-But you can end it your highness. Stop the war with Rome and Babylon. Make them see what has happened. Tell them...
-I shall do no such thing! Greece shall never back down!
-But sir, your people, they deserve better than this, do you not agree?
-...my people, my people?...they know nothing, they shall know nothing. I tire of this, Atzin. guards, acompany him to his room.- and as he said this, he began to walk away.
-You must excuse my son, he has too much of his father in him.
-Ambassador, please. –said a guard.
-of course.

It’s been three days since that morning and I hadn’t recieved word from Alexander, or my escorts. Until now, Alexander has blessed me with a visit from himself in my humble (cell)room. It apears we are being “delaided” for our own protection. Roman ships have been seen in the coast and he believes it to be unsafe to travel under such conditions.

Day six.
I have befriended Clio. as it turns out, she loves history so I tell her stories of old about kings and queens, conquerors and lost loves. She is my only comfort in this God-forsaken rock. She is a child inside really, with a blessed heart and innocent eyes that look at everything as if it were the first time they ever opened and saw the world. Communications are down, or so they say, so I can’t send mail. Clio has told me it is not true. It is she who is sending this letter, I’ve come to trust her with this. I hope I am not mistaken.
I shall writte again, soon.

Ehecatl Atzin.

Greece is now under Zulu rule... where you able to escape?

No word has come to us from Ehecatl since the Zulus destroyed the last of the Greek Empire. He dose however, possess an uncanny ability to blend in and a unit of immortal bodyguards. Every agent in the area is searching for him.
