War objectives with China

What should we do against China?

Fanatika - Where did everybody go?
China's MPPs are all spent, likely to do with other nations not being interested in messing with us! So, we may proceed, if we wish, on China, who are still in a Military Alliance with Iroquois against us.

Facts about China:
Researching Communism, Industrialization, Electricity.
Democratic Government.
They have 4 cities.
They are a Suspect nation.

What should we do with our war with China? They will acknowledge our envoy and give up 30 gold for a peace deal. I don't think they will be a factor for the rest of our lifetimes...
 
That entire penninsula is a thorn in our side, we need to take the cities there we can by war (when attacked) and take the rest by Culture.

In otherwords.... Crush China, culture rush to get the Indian and Aztec Cities afterwards, and if they declare war on us we'll take them, but I'd rather not wage a war against India if possible.
 
Shaitan, I've still yet to upgrade and take a look at the maps. But as I followed the last chat, I think I would go the opposite way than you. By taking the Chinese lands north of the Forbidden Palace and slowing or stopping our expanse through the Iroquois lands, we would have more of a consolidated production sphere (for lack of a better term). Production and growth would be faster in China than Eastern Iroquois territory.
 
Good point Cyc but I'm giving a gut reaction. Hiawatha is the one I'm pissed at. Mao is an annoying little bug. Hiawatha is the backstabbing scum who must be removed from polite society permanently.
 
The Chinese pose no threat. Thus, we should continue to let them pose no threat.

If you didn't get that, we should have peace with China, but empty out their bank account while were at it. I fear that another nation may sign a military alliance with them in a heartbeat, and continue this war.
 
That is a good point Octavian, but my stand remains we need to fill out our borders, we can't allow such a small penninsula in the middle of our territory to remain as such. Yes, China is "an annoying little bug," but Chinese land will be undoubtably more productive then the Iro. land, and won't take long to take, once this is done, our Manifest destiny will MOST definately be complete, except for the most ambitious and agressive citizens.
 
Just take Xinjiang. We'd have to go through other borders (Aztec, India) to get to the other part of China. Also, there's SO MANY units "stuck" in the 2 occupied cities, that we might run into a literal Great Wall.
 
By getting a transport or two over to Xinjiang we can get troops to the north, or an easier solution may be an ROP with India. By taking Beijing we will get another Wonder.
 
Anyone who would ally with the backstabbing dung infested cowards of Hiawatha deserves their full plate of whoop-ass. Take them out!

I feel we should target the Iroquois mainland and wipe them off the mainland and then take some Chinese cities. They will add to our production as stated by Cyc. We shouldn't go for peace with the Chinese yet. Let them sit things out for a bit. War weariness is not an issue yet.
