Should we have a National Guard and Coast Guard System: Opinion Poll

Given the other complexities about to emerge with the new demo game RPG I think that this would either 1) create ongoing arguments between the Military and the Governors over who actually has control of defense resources at what time, or 2) governors who are too busy with build queues to bother with peacetime patrols.

And I would not want to be the Governor who has his province invaded. Imagine the flurry of finger-pointing over lack of provincial defense!

Voting no despite liking the idea in principal.

You also frogot one thing. too much Micromanagement. It seams to be a good Idea, But it just had a little too much micromanagement for this type of game.

I really like this idea, though it would add complexity, it is a good concept. I think governors should be in charge of thier garrisons and defending against minor barbarian incutions. Of course, anything new that happens in a turnchat would probably have to be controlled by the millitary leader!! The main problem I can see is that at the moment, we have a very reliable millitary leader and depudy and a lot of governors who go MIA. Until we can adress the problem of MIA governors the power should stay with Falcon. However, I am voting YES because it is a positive step in empowering provinces.

I would be concerned with this proposal from a constitutional standpoint.

This would seem, on the surface, to be a direct confrontation with the responsibilities of our Defense Department, and while this poll doesn't propose any specific laws or standards related to the idea, it would be necessary to review such changes were they to come to pass.
