Congrats from the Catholic Republican

the foreign affairs minister of the *other* demo game (pending) would like to congratulate you...

Just a general question: when a candidate runs unopposed, when is the deputy chosen?

Thanks Zarn, William528, jdd2007, Toasty and Octavian X.

@Jdd2007 -- I hope we can work together to keep improving our relations and get better aquainted with each other's culture, political views, etc.

@Octavian X -- I also plan on working close with the trade department, the way I see it, Trade and Foreign affairs go side by side.

@Toasty -- I don't know when exactly the deputy get's chosen, but I have my eye on someone, mwahahaha :D

The Department head would appoint a deputy, then that person would have to be approved by a quorum of the census. The quorum woulsd be half the total votes in the presidential election. Right now, the quorum is 14, However, the new term will require at least 24 votes total (yes, no, abstain), since there are so far 48 votes in the presidential election.
