As Mayor of Fox Nest I humbly accept the Camelot Award presented to our great city by the previous Domestic Leader (who, BTW, was the first Minister of the DOC). You all know the old saying, "Fox Nest wasn't built in a day", and this is so true. I like to think that I've done my part through the centuries to keep Fox Next in the forefront of the world's top cities, but the number of those who helped build Fox Nest is too numerous to list. I must mention a couple of them though. Without our founder, Grey Fox, we'd be nothing more than a few scattered huts. Eyrei's efforts in the first three terms brought Fox Next to prominence and truly earned this award then.
As Vice President I urge our new Domestic Leader to continue the Camelot Awards of the previous term. I would also like to take this time to say a few words about the other two recipients of the Camelot Award.
While Fox Nest is a top city in the world because it is the capital of Phoenatica, PDX is one because of its citizens. Billed as the happiest place in the world, PDX is also the most popular city in the world and has been for centuries. PDX has been nurtured as no other city has been. I consider Bill_in_PDX to be the founder of PDX and he has looked after the city since its first tent was pitched. Governor Crabapple, one of our earliest governors, has steadily worked to build PDX into the great city that it is. He was instrumental in securing Shakespeare's Theatre for PDX which was a great turning point in the city's history. (Those of us in Fox Nest still regret losing Newton's University but we can hold no grudge against PDX.)
Khatovar is what it is today because of it's founder, Cyc. As first Minister of the DOC and later as Domestic Leader, Cyc helped to secure the Camelot Award for Khatovar. Even while carrying out his duties as Governor of Kashmir, Cyc always kept an eye on his beloved Khatovar ensuring that it's citizens had ample food so that they could be fruitful and multiply.
In closing I urge all of Phoenatica to applaud our three top cites and to pull together to so that another city (Philadelphia?) can earn the Camelot Award.
