k here i made this up really quick i just basically added some (water) under snoopy's modified jungle picture and i think it kinda looks swampish considering i'm from MN the land of 10,000 lakes and even more than a 10,000 swamps

btw who was bored enough to count all 10,000+ lakes cuz i know there is an official number that ends like 10,047 or somethin

anyways i'll try to attach a preview the black is where the swamp is and i censored the horse it too revealing

I use snoopy's extra green modpack, and I would probably need the hills/mountains done where there is jungle as well.

If you need anymore details, just ask.

Actually, if you could thin out the jungle so that you can see more of the water, and make the water a more darker color, then I think that would work.

k i didn't know what you meant by thinner so i just made the swamp more obvious, then i changed the color to be a moderatly more darker blue, and so check it out again tell me if you want the .pcx or what more changes are needed

also i added it to the 2nd row of jungle so it will appear everytime you build a jungle so thats another thing i can change about it or keep it that way, i will work on the hill, and mts. once i have the right color of jungle water you want

WHat I meant by thinning out the jungle is to get rid of a few trees so that we can see more of the water. Also, from what I can see, the water color looks good.

k i tried to "Thin" it out for you i just kinda painted over with the water where it looked like a couple of trees joined together and so look at the preview down at the end

also i can make it look like theres less water by taking it out around the sides if you want,

or i could make the swamp appear 1/2 the time less or 1/4 or whatever if you wanted me too,

or i could just post the .pcx

I personally think that the more water showing, the better. If you get rid of just a few more trees, then I think it would work.

Also, is there a way to have the gaps between 2 pieces of jungle also be water? I notice that there is some "land" in the middle of there, and I think that if two pieces of swamp are side-by-side, then the area between them should be water.

If you could do that, that would be great. If you cant figure out what I mean, then I could probably do it myself.

This helps me soo much. I wouldnt have the time to do it myself

ohh yea by the way there is a couple things i could do to add water to the surrounding terrains, i could try to either change some of the jungles to completly water, or i could just expand the existing jungles to overlap the other terrain, but i think changing some jungles to completly water would be the best b/c if you imagine it this way if the jungle next to the hill overlaped that terrain you would have half a hill and then a cutoff and water would be right there. or if you have another thought i could put that to test also.

I think it is thinned out good now. Great job.

My suggestions: post the pcx so we dont lose it and then try your idea. While you are trying your idea, I will try something of my own.

Looks great. I do have one more question though.

How would you get rid of the grassland showing between two swamp squares? Seems kinda odd to have large chunks of grassland in the middle of the swamp.

I went through and made some changes of my own, i kinda just played around for about an hour and this is what I came up with: One image is with your PCX, and one is with my edited (more water, less gaps)

How does this look? (Yes, I know the mountain is still lighter, but I am not going to change that yet). Swamps were, for the most part, rather dark.

looks very good, did you also make the jungle darker to or something or was it just a palette thing cuz it kinda looks funny that way to me, but again it very good

What I did was cut the "jungle" our from the green and pink borders, make it -50% lighter (darker), and then re-pasted into the pcx. I had to temporarily increase the color depth of the pcx so it wouldnt look weird. The only problem with my darker one is that it doesnt look too good surrounded by grassland and other terrain, or if a river runs through it.

Maybe the one I did before is better. It still has less gaps but without the darkness.

hey if you post the one you have now i can 'repair' it to look just like the old jungles did with those colors, i would just have to redo the colors in the palette, unless you want to keep it that way
