OK if there is sufficient interest, I will make it.

Ideally it should be done on TOT to take advantage of multi-maps as techum pointed out, however I don't have TOT and never played it so I am using MGE (actually I prefer FW for easy testing but I think I will need the extra event space).

I think a semi-scripted open scenario like Dominion War.

Planets would be islands linked by railway ( a la the wormhole to Gamma Quad) and some would be guarded by a Question Mark (air unit). By research and events, you get fighter units incrementally which allow you to destroy the Question Marks and explore more gates. (Fighters are actually decyphered gate coordinates).

Planets will be nine squared islands using mountain, hills and forests.

Meanwhile the Gua'ould Motherships will slowly come by sea (space) unless you set up the right alliances to get Asgard protection.

Asgards keep the Replicators (a race of cheap diplomatic units) at bay for a certain time (Relicators would start from nothing but have the pyramids and fanatics government). They will eventually over-run everything unless you find the 'solution'.

So the major races are Tau'ree, Gua'ould, Asgard and Replicators.

Other races would be the To'kra, Jaffa (initially allied with Gua'ould) and the Other races (like Tollum, Nox etc.)

Barbarinas will be NID Black Ops.

Go for it. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me; I`m a huge fan of Stargate, and have a few Stargate units kicking around that I drew for my SG1 scenario that I never got finished.

I never really liked role playing-type scenarios, not even those beautiful FF LotR scenarios. But I will play it, because I liked the series.

No luck on the X-302, but how's this for the X-303?

Hey Koby,

It's great to see you are still in the Sci-fi business! SG1 is an excellent choice...

JV,

Are you planning to play any of my newer scenarios (ZWK and Star Trek Insurrection) any time?

And are you going to update the SHOF for 2002?

(two unrelated questions of course, personally I think favoured flight's scenarios deserve to go in to the SHOF)

And did you get round to testing my SDC entry?

I'd definetely play it. After I downloaded the Dominion War scenario, I simply used Find in my internet browser to find all your scenarios and play them. I have no idea about Star Gate, but since you make damn good scenarios I'd definetely play it. This is all assuming it's compatible with Fantastic Worlds.

I'd play it too, kob. :goodjob:

Goddang forum refuses to let me vote in the poll tho....

Yes Koby,

and again, yes...except, I haven't finished playing your scenarios to my satisfaction yet. That includes the notes that I usually make. As far as Favoured Flight is concerned, I think his work is spectacular...and I've received multiple recommendations for his place in SHOF. I'm adding some new graphics to the next update and I was hoping to release two finished scenarios soon.

It looks like your getting a bit of a following on this scenario idea too... :)

Most of my delay is never procrastination...I'm always stuck in the stupid library reading books about sociology...although I love sociology, man, you'd think I'd be smart enough by now that I would just qualify for my degree by endurance...seven years is a long time to be at the university!

kobayashi,

How are you planing to have the Stargate cross space? Unless I'm mistaken you can't have railroads in sea/ocean/coast spaces, which would be the space in your scenario.

BTW Do you have any space terrain graphics? I would very much appreciate them for a scenario I am about to begin creation of.

You don't need rail road, you can use a black (land)terrain with movement cost =0 so it can't be pillaged. The wormholes will only touch tip to tip so space ships can move pass them (like the Chin'toka Orbital Defense platform area in ST Dominion).

You can try the terrain files from any of my space scenarios, eg. ST Dominon or SW Insurrection.

since when has Star Gate had space ships? i thought they always just walked through some portal. but i'm basing all of my knowledge on the movie, never seen the tv series, but i'd play the scenario, if it was MGE and not ToT

The Ga'ould, To'kra, Asgard and Replicators all have spaceships. Watch the TV series - its much better that Enterprise.
