OK - I am going to up the notch as high as I feel going with the 5cc conquest concept.
I have no interest in becoming a diety player, and the level of mm I think is need to win at that.

The next LK game is world map, then NOTHING for a while outside of a possible training game of some sort.

World = standard, Wet, Warm, 5 Billion, large pangea.
Difficulty = Emperor
Barbarians = None / Sedentary (I think this is goody huts only).
Barbs were to much of a pain in LK28.
# Civs = 8
NOT culturally linked, NO restarting players.
Civ = China (military is always good, industrious helps in sg with lack of workers built)
All victory conditions are enabled.
However, anything other then a CONQUEST victory is considered a loss.

STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 to complete.

I really haven't mentioned game playing guidelines with the LK series, but I feel that I am overdue to do so.
The following tactics are NOT allowed in the LK series games: RoP Rape, RoP Abuse (irragating all tiles with a city building wonders), False Peace Treaties (must wait for the 20 years to end), Declaring War to break trade deals, False Alliances (ally with several people vs. a civ then peace with that civ), and other actions that completely abuse the AI limited diplomacy ability.

Lee, you make this one sound good, I was trying to take a little bit of a break before Brazil......if you need one more throw me in the mix.

If we can get a fourth I will start the game.

I would prefer 5, but I know the SG crowd has shrunk.

Not sure what that comment is about, so I guess you didn't.

I will get the game started tonight.

Of course, if we win emperor 5cc, what is left?

LOL... Gotta be a huge map on the diety conquest OCC of course! I'd have a go at this, but I'm out of practise these days - real life took over some time ago.

EDIT: Oops, missed the comment about the World Map above. You could try playing England of course!

@Arizona_Steve
Sorry to disappoint you, but there is NO England in my world map. I created Australia by stealing England.

Japan became Brazil in the game about to start.

Europe with get even thinner later when Rome moves to West Africa and becomes the Moors.

4000 BC - We get a very wierd starting spot. For a 5 billion world, we are overloaded with moutains.
This is a city that really cries out for Monarchy / Republic so that the 3 wines on plains spaces can give 3 food.

3950 BC - Beijing is formed, one square south. I didn't want to waste the food bonus of the wines.

3400 BC - A goody hut gives us maps, and we see a cow square.
The 2nd huts gives us angry barbs.
(I) Our warrior survives.

3350 BC -
(I) The ability to build temples sounds good.

3100 BC - Pop another hut and angry barbs again.
(I) Dead warrior

3050 BC - The turn of contact: Japan and America. Both have the exact same techs.

3000 BC - I buy cb from America for $15, and shut off science. It will be cheaper to buy tech for now.

Summary - I realize that we will have to irragate the wines later on get Beijing growing, but it was the only way to get

decent shields early.

The good news - we will have 4 wine, which is awesome in a 5 city game.
The BAD news - We have aggresive Japan and chaotic America as our neighbors. We will need troops ASAP.

Even though this is Pangea, we will need some COASTAL cities - you usually get a couple of islands.

LAK-138.jpg

Red dot is clearly city #2
White dot (approximate location) can be a coastal city, need to figure out exact spot with better terrain knowledge.

LAK-139.jpg

Yellow dot is a great spot - incense, good growth and river.

No clear spot #5, with the other civs nearby.

Well, Meldor,

We did play a Deity OCC once... and won. :) Was on a small map, though, as I recall, and we got a sweet starting position.

3000 BC (Pre-turn)
Nada
(I) A Roman warrior comes into view, out of the northeast.

2950 BC (1)
Trade Rome CB and Masonry for Alphabet. Trade Japan Alphabet for Bronze Working and 7g. Japan want 13g and 6gpt for the wheel. America will offer 60g for Alphabet or we can get Wheel for Alphabet 13g and 1gpt saving us ~40g over the Japanese price. We go for it and are now completely caught up in tech.
(I) Settler finishes, start spear.

2900 BC (2) Pop a goodie hut in front on the Americans and get barbs. Settler stays put as barbs are outside the city and he has no escort.
(I) Barbs attack, we promote once.

2850 BC (3)
Movement. Settler holds yet another turn.
(I) Fisrt barb attacks, we defend, warrior now veteran, palace expands.

2800 BC (4)
Settler waits yet again.
(I) Second barb atacks, we defend, warrior now elite.

2750 BC (5)
Settler fianlly is cleared for departure.
(I) Nada

2710 BC (6)
Movement.
(I) Zip-a-di-do-da

2670 BC (7)
Settler arrives at hill top.
(I) Zilch.

2630 BC (8)
Shanghai is built and it already has one irrigated wheat with the worker mining a shielded grassland. Pop goodie hut in front of Rome and get 25g.
(I) Beijing finishes spear and starts a barracks.

2590-2550 BC (9-10)
Nada, zip, zilch, boredom.

I was not lucky in getting any workers, we need to check this every turn in these early stages. There is a possible spot towrds the Americans that we could get some dyes and horses. Three luxes would be a coup this early.

Check Shanghai after it grows - it may be able to switch to settler. The faster we can get to 5 cities the better. This

settler may be able to cover white dot, and insure 1 ship building city.

Multiple wine, hopefully 2 incense, horses, and maybe dyes. [dance]

LAK-141.jpg

Unless the Iron resource makes a difference, city #5 looks like the above.
2 dyes, possible rubber, fresh water, culture locks the horses to avoid a surprise.

RULES CLAIRIFICATION:

We can NOT accept cities in a peace treaty if it will put us over 5.
We can NOT accept a culture flip if it will put us over 5.
