This thread is to discuss actions to be taken in the next turnchat for the city of bavaria. Please propose build queues or citizen mood changes or any other things in here.

Following is my persnal proposal. I already braught this to the governor as an emergency plan if this thread has no further outcome:
I will propose continuing to produce warriors.
I will also request to send another garrison unit to bavaria.

Now what else do you propose / what changes do you want?

i would really cut out the temple. military is urgently needed and i think an agressive approach is the consensus somehow found in polls before. the temple would heavily slow our military production of swordmen (like also the spearman).
if we have more cities to produce warriors, we can still incorporate more culture in bavaria.
citizens will be happy enough if we just garrison one more unit and then connect the spice.

We should make 4 more warriors before making anything else in Bavaria. That'll give us 9 swords right away. :)

I will agree with Plexus' queue. We'll have an inital attack force, then we can get rid of potential unhappy persons with the settler. I would, however, put off the temple. Our war with Montezuma may not go as planned.

I would personally like to see Bavaria churning out the warriors until the upgrade fund dries up. Even in the event that we do not continue on a warlike path after the Aztecs have been dealt with, a strong military will help ensure that we are treated with respect and left in peace by our neighbours.

i second you there mr. president. if we station another unit there, we can keep people happy by military force for another few tc's propably.
this will give us a 1 turn production advantage per warrior, so where we would produce 2 warriors with a pop3, we will produce 3 with the settings active now.

i dont think we should build anymore settlers in bavaria. we will drain the citys strength. alright, warrior, warrior, warrior, warrior, temple, warrior ->ufn
(im really committed to that temple)

And I'm really against it for the present ;)

If we're stalling the city's growth at a point where we can keep it content then sticking a temple in is just going to slow us down with no real tangible gain. I'd be in favour of a temple once the great warrior upgrade drive has finished, but until then I'll continue to argue for its omission from the queue.

Excellent work you've done here, Dis. Nice thread.
I think we should hook the road that will connect the spice to Bavaria up with Morgana. Or at least start to consider it. With the road put in, not only will Bavaria be able to produce Swords in 6, but the Swords comming out of Morgana will be able to leave via a road. The advantage we have now of upgrading warriors is only going to last until we run out of gold. Then we are going to wish we had that road. Can we figure out how long it will be before our funds are depleted compared to how long it will take to get the road put in and match the two dates up. Fanatika seems hell-bent on spending all of the gold on upgrades, fine. But let's be ready when we don't have anymore funds for upgrades. We wastes some important moves with that worker recently, let's not do it again. It will take 6 moves to build the road, Donsig wants 4 morre warriors before anything else in Bavaria, that's 9 turns. Eklektikos wants warriors until the funds dry up. That's 12 turns. We need to plan ahead.

Ill second Plexus' Idea :). It it great with my cheap swordsmen project :D :groucho:

A connection to the spice would be good. My only fear is without a temple, or settler, unhappy people will appear causing disorder. Any disorder in any of the cities could be paralizing to our war machine.

I also agree with Pluxus, we need to at least have plans in the works for a settler, even if we don't switch Bavaria to build a Settler Immediately ;-)
