Another one for warmongers.

Map: small, Pangaea, 70% water, 16 civ

Us: Persia :D

Level: Deity

enabled victories: UN, Spaceship, Culture

rules:

- we may never ask for peace straight - we must get something for it.
- we may not trade except luxuries. Thus, all tech we gain must be by extortion.


anyone interested?
 
I am NOT playing.

Some of the Deity players can confirm, but this looks impossible.
 
LK: I didn't say we couldn't conquer everything... We just need to let one city live ;)

as for impossible: if we get iron - it's a piece of cake!
 
clarification:

we CAN sell techs for whatever the AI offers, we CANNOT buy techs for anything but techs. So if we have monarchy and they offer Construction and 4 Gold we can take it, but we cannot pay WM and 1 Gold and Monarchy for Construction.

We may make peace if they only goive us 1 Gold - that's enough!

We can make alliances and everything and pay for them in whatever they ask.

We can use luxuries to buy luxuries, but we cannot give luxuries for tech!

Deity games are hard enough without restrictions. Still, though, a Persia that does nothing but research Iron Working and swarm the planet with Immortals probably could pull it off, given that the start looks quite good. (Hint: Clear those game forests right away - as in the first two worker jobs - so you can have two 4-food squares in despotism. :) )

edit: no, I wasn't interested in playing, just commenting :)
 
CG: I actually played several such games and won them all - despite the restrictions.

KILL BABYLONIANS!!!!!!:rocket: I think I will give it a try but I have one condition....

I have modded up my bic file and not sure if I still have the original backuped or not (been so long I cannot remember). Would my modded bic file give me problems playing a SG game?

If no problems and/or I have the original bic file. I am in. (cannot simply reload CIV3 since I have not recieved my replacement disk yet.)

What is the turn length and turn around time?
 
Killer,

I would be with you, but have 4 committed games already. If one or two of them finish this week, count me in. Level doesn't matter...Diety, always war....:hammer:
 
Hey killer, if you'd like you can advertise in the new current SG games thread stickied in this forum. There is a format that you have to post in to make the thread neater and I'm hoping the organization of it will help more people want to use it.

@Killer: I would play, but unfortunately I just haven't had time for much civ3 lately. Plus with the demo game I just joined I just can't play SGs. I remember when I had to give up SGs.....it was a sad day then :(
 
Alright, I guess I'll join, if the level is Emperor. I usually play Regent/Monarch, just to warn you.

I don't want to play first, those turns are too important to leave to someone who doesn't usually play at this level.
