This thread will be used to maintain the statistics for each character. The second post in this thread contains the current character scores. The rules are in the Combined Rules Thread.

Please feel to post here regarding rule discussions, changes to stats, questions on the entire process, etc. These first posts will be kept clean and up to date but the rest of the thread is open for public use.

Each character gains .25 in each subskill used, for each contest they participated in. The winner of each contest gets a bonus - they can raise any one of the subskills for that contest to the next full point level.

Restriction: You may never gain more than 1 point in a subskill during a single event.

With those rules in mind, I have applied all of the .25 subskill gains. I have also applied the winners' bonus where there was no choice on where to apply it (single subskill events, multisubskill events where the other subskill had already been raised a point during the Tourney). There are five players left who must apply their winners' bonuses.

EDIT: All bonuses have been applied.

The fractions in points are only for tracking experience gain. They are not used in the contests.

Main skill points are gained by teaching others (.1 per chat in the appropriate skill) and by time and long experience (1 point per term in any skill chosen). Main skills represent your inate abilities. They can be honed and perfected over a long period of time but are very difficult to increase. Subskills represent knowledge, which is comparitively easy to gain.

Other experience:

Duels? We don't want it to become an ultracommon occurence but maybe a .1 gain for the winner of the duel?

Racers: We've now got an organized horseracing track with a race every week or so. Regular jockeys should gain some skill in HORSEMANSHIP:Speed. I suggest .25 for the winner and .1 to the 2nd/3rd place. That would equal about 1 point per term if the same jockey won every race.

The prohibition against teaching and learning at the same time...good or bad? The intent was to prevent a massively overwhelming rush to raise levels and also reflect that a teacher is putting a lot of effort and time into a class.

There is a class size limit based on the subskill level of the teachers. Should there be a limit to how many classes a teacher can teach? A limit on how many classes a student can take?

you could get rid of the teaching/ learing rule or you could let the teachers learn more, I feel like I am going to start falling behind in skills. Or, you could have us practicing. I say teachers make .15pts/tc/student. I also think that we should add a class taking limit, people might find loopholes to exploit, say 3 classes per tc?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post for creating stats, but I'm allocating

Defense
Armored- 2
Shield-2
Unarmored-1

Horsemanship
Steeplechase-2.5
Precision- 1.5
Speed- 1

Weaponry
Melee-3
Ranged-1
Hurled-1

do i get more points to allocate to the main skill things? If I do, then its
Defense- 1
Horsemanship-2
Weaponry- 3

@naervod - If you assign partial points, there is no effect for them until you get to the next full level. You'd be better off with 2 each in Steeplechase and Precision. You get 5 points points to distribute in the main skills. Knock one off of WEAPONRY and you'll be set there.
