Official City Placement Poll #2

Which Spot Should City B be in?

  • B (Option 1)

    Votes: 4 18.2%
  • B' (Option 2)

    Votes: 15 68.2%
  • Abstain

    Votes: 3 13.6%

  • Total voters
    22
  • Poll closed .
In all fairness, there was another proposed location (site B on the attached map) which was proposed by Disorganizer that I feel should have been included in this post. Is it too late to add it to this poll?

Nonetheless, I voted for B' because I think it's the best location given our current city sites.

I have also chosen sight B' since it is close to the Cattle Resource and thus brings in extra food.

One more thing SaaM -

Change the title to include "Quick Poll" so there is no confusion. Also, be sure to include links to your Government Office thread and to the corresponding discussion thread. You may want to include a link to the previous poll which established site B as the second city site as well.

I realize that I have added these links to this poll, but I believe by rule that we should have these links included in the first post. To be safe, I'd recommend copying these links to your opening post lest the fillibusters delay decision on this matter one more time.

I also said B'.

I B 4 B1 2!

I request repolling as not all discussed proposals were setup for the poll. This poll is not impartial and not complete, thus invalid.

Actually, Did, in the latest round of discussion, I believe these two locations were the only ones Porposed/Discussed. Therefore, I don't see it as being impartial.

you mentioned the corresponding discussion thread as being the one with mine and Dis's in.

SaaM:
this is the second time you split up discussion into your department thread and a citizen thread. if this continues i will push for a pi against you.
you should actually READ the threads you start before you put up a poll.

AND you should put up the proposed poll in the DISCUSSION thread and not in your private compartment at the government forum.

This also adds to the above point:
Poll was and is not announced nor the options in any kind mentioned at the discussion.

SaaM:
this is getting ridiculous.

Wow, another quick poll.

Chieftess
I had mistakenly thought this was a Quick Poll also, but SaaM has stated previously that it is intended to be a standard, two-day, official poll to resolve this issue.

Disorganizer
In SaaM's defense, it is I who created the most recent discussion thread. I took it upon myself to establish a convenient discussion thread outside of the Government office in hopes of attracting more attention to the subject. It is unfair to accuse him of purposefully splitting the discussion between two threads.

Nonetheless, I included a link to your proposal early on in this poll, yet an overwhelming majority of the voters have still opted for site B'. It seems likely to me that if the people had a different preference (such as your proposal), they would have voted Abstain or not voted at all. If you recall one of the first polls about provincial borders, the people didn't like the proposed solutions and voted Abstain, forcing the Domestic Department to re-open the floor for additional proposals. The same could have taken place here, but it didn't.

Plexus
Actually, site B' is the exact same location that you proposed for our next city.

-----

As of this posting, we are one vote away from reaching quorum on this poll. Due to the overwhelming majority of people in favor of site B', I recommend that we accept this poll and move forward to determining the next city site.

Okay, Quorm has been reached and I just recieved this:
Chief Justice Opinion

My opinion is that the poll is valid.

As always, I would have preferred that the duration be noted, and the poll properly posted, but I find that SaaM corrected this data within the thread itself.

Finally, dis, I think that the data that tipped the scaled in SaaM's favor was the knowledge that he had a passed poll already advocating the position properly referenced, as well as your discussion thread and others. The data from the first poll, and the overwhelming passage of that position in the second poll is more that adequate to satisfy SaaM's burden to be responsive to the will of the people.

It is not necessary for a leader to post every idea submitted into a poll, and frankly I found your ideas dis to be pretty darn good, but the end results in this case clearly demonstrate that SaaM correctly identified the majority opinion.
