Here are a couple of other cities that we need to place. The Incense city is a must, and the other is mainly for fill-in. What do you think?

I say Hire BamSpeedy as City Placement head. ;)

Umm.. I'd prefer not to build RIGHT on an Insence tile, but it looks like those adjacent wouldn't be very good, so yeah.

What about having 2 one tile to the south west? To get both golds in there.

Good map.

I agree with position 1, and the idea to move 2, to the SW

Position one is the best if you want the incense. I agree to move position 2 one SW.

I can see the advantage of moving the #2 city 1 tile to the SW to get the gold (although we'd get it anyway), even though we would lose growth potential of that city. But Dis, you seem to once again favor the tight build, limited growth scenario. This calls for three additional settlers, which we don't have the time to build. Our borders will expand and engulf all the gold that's in the mountains so what would be the reason in your opinion, of severely limiting the growth of those cities?

well, when did we decide NOT to tight-build? there even was a poll on that topic and it was not decided otherwise yet.
so if we dont like the dense-build, we should repoll the topic :-)

and as argument pro it:
there is no need for more space until we get hospitals. but more cities means more cash and production. more cities near the capitol means less overall corruption.

and as an argument contra it:
too many overall cities increases overall corruption
with our conquer politics at the moment, we will soon go over the cap-limit :-)

now how about a informational poll on the dense/sparse topic?

EDIT:
added the url for the above mentioned poll. result was 15-8 for a 2-3 tile spacing (dense build)

You're so right, Dis. But that poll dated September 4th was primarily for the new cities planted around the capital, as stated in the first post.
