Domestic Deaprtment Instructions 11/16

Should my decisions on where to place a settler coming from Eklekt (cant spell that for the life of me) been overrided by a council vote when in the constitution is says:
D.Department Leaders share several powers and responsibilities, regardless of department.
4.Formulate departmental policies, plans and agendas of their own in the absence of citizen feedback (forum outage, low participation, etc). . Since there was an outage and low participation on the poll i MADE a DOMESTIC DEPARTMENT decision, that was ignored by Octavian X by doing a council vote. Personally i saw that as a violation but im told it isnt, I say Let the citizens decide and debate this.

It was my job to post what i felt was in the best interest of the country. If im wrong in this assesment please direct me where im wrong.

I don't think so. We already have heard several people declare how wonderful pre-planning is and now we ignore it?

The citizens in the forum had a chance to change it, by holding a spot vote you are asking people who DIDN'T EVEN CARE about it in the forums to make an uneducated decision.

Definately should NOT have been overturned.

The pre-planning wasn't here in this case, that was what the problem was. The people in the forums didn't have a chance to change the instructions because the instructions were not posted prior to turn chat.

So this is not the situation you are implying it is.

To Fionn's credit, he attempted to get some instructions in during the turn chat itself as deputy, but the other council members present voted to go a different way.

it doesnt matter much. This poll wont do anything to change things. But ill say this again Due to the forum outage it was up to me to decide where that settler should go. The citizens were screwed over enough they didnt get to vote to push that poll to quorum. and since thats the case the turn chat shouldnt have happened at all. But everyone wanted that chat because they dojnt get to go to Shaitans 4:15 am chats. Im dissapointed in the way things have been going lately

Since Eklektos has not shown up to post the instructions nor was he present at the turn chats. It would be up to the Domestic Deputy to post and give instructions in the event the leader is not present. Fionn is the Domestic Deputy and his instructions would be the same if it came out of a Leader. Fionn's Instructions should have been followed.

I just want to say that I acted within the limits of the law. I called for a council vote to override your instructions. 4 council representitives voted yes, and New PDX (the happiest place on Earth) was founded.

3. Simple majority of respondents required to override the official.

1. An Administrative vote called and carried out in the turn chat.
2. Tallied immediately in the turn chat.
3. Simple majority of respondents required to pass the proposed measure.

You called that vote because you didnt want to move the settler since it had already been moved. Thats pretty lazy if you ask me. And your not the president, just the DP. i think that part of the law should be redone if your going to use it. As for spot voteslike i said too lazy to move it nor listen to my instructions. The point is there was a forum outage and the domestic leader wasnt there so domestics instructions fell to me and you ignored them
