My computer has recently (Sunday) crashed, and is totalled, meaning the chances of reviving it are slim. I am currently at my local library. Obviously, I can not remain in as many NES's as I am in, and certainly not MOD both ww2 and Stjnes games. So here is the deal:

I am quitting all NES's except for Rtor2 and UKNES8

I am putting WW2 NES on hold, and will see about modding StJNES updates every other day (especially when my school library opens for the internet). I am not closing ww2 nes yet, but it may be a while before I can update (all my files were on my old hardrive).

StJNES update will be every 2-3 days, with the next one may take me a while. I have to remake all the files (doable) but it will take a while.

My hardrive is currently under examination to either be replaced, repaired, or doubled up with another one. If it is replaced, then ww2 nes will be closed, due to lack of information I had on it.

Orders for rtor2 and uknes may be late, so I ask those mods to please, if I don't have my orders in, move for me. I think I've covered everything NES-wise, now on to my computer:

After I downloaded MODs from Naervod (*shakes fists*), I restarted my computer, and when I tried starting it up again, it said unable to find WIN.COM and ceased to load up windows (I have 98). So I got a new hardrive, and tried using my restore cd for my computer (emachine) and it loads the drivers, but then gets to a spot and says unable to recognize system, unable to install.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry if the mods I sent you screwed up your comp. I had no problem with them in my comp. If I had known they would screw up your comp, I wouldn't have sent them to you. Also, try a new operating system if you like. I find Win XP much better than 98. If you like, I can find someone else to play Yugoslavia in JNES IX and mod it until you get back.
Best of luck,
naervod

Hmmm.

Do you have the Windows 98 CD?

Also try using the restore CD on your old hard drive, and booting from it - that is probably the reason it says the PC has changed.

If that doesn't work, try booting from the Win98 CD if you have it, and if that works just copy the system files across.

I will try and help out, Jason if you want otheres to mod. Iam almost dead in WW2, so I don;t mind picking up the peices there

Thanks for the offers, but you cant mod JNES ww2 because of the files (what units are in what provinces) are on my harddrive. I just got the win98 cd now, and will try that on my new harddrive, then on my old one.

I will not transfer files, as it might carry over the virus. I tried my boot disk, and did everything i could with it and it just didnt work, thanks though, nem.

I will try and reboot my computer when I get home, I am currently at the library again as it is on my way home.

lol Jason no way on earth can you let the JNES WWII die, when you get your new computer up and running!

Most nations will know what troops they have where, and therefore just get them to send their country listings in when they send orders - and I'm sure you'll be able to remember just enough to work out if someone tries to cheat that system.

Also, any files you use for updating(such as an Excel spreadsheet) can easily be rebuilt, I'll help if you want(the UKNES one is always very complex lol).

As for the map, Roddy managed to fix the EPICNES one from the JPG, if he's not willing to do it then I'll find out how he did it and do it myself.

Basically, don't let that NES die!

PS: Need any help installing Win98 just send email to me @ chrisbraund@msn.com , cause I've got an entire installation process from formatting hard disk onwards from that from my computer hardware assignment.

lol - i wont. I am on my way home now, so if you dont hear from me, it means my win 98 cd did not work. Nem, i will probably e-mail u if this doesnt work tomorrow for more ways to try.

And I upload in GIF's, so it is very easy to save as a BMP, lol. I guess going through the hard process to make it a GIF pays off (with the added visual detail).

hahaha, im back! However, im on a new hardrive, so i dont have any files, so ALL ww2 NES players MUST send me their units orders, and in the subject say

WW2 (INSERT COUNTRY HERE) UNITS

Dont think i'll let you hceat either, i know some of them.
