Note (25-Jan): There is no schedule for a chat next Saturday (1-Feb) at this time as that date will fall in the next term.

Note on Upcoming Turn Chats: Whenever possible, Preturn instructions, specifically updating build queues and city micromanagement issues, will be carried out shortly before the turn chat's scheduled starting time, so that the actual gameplay can begin promptly on time (at least, in theory).

Also, I don't necessarily expect the weekday chats (particularly the Monday Evening/Tuesday morning chats) to last very long. As these chats will be taking place only two days after the previous chat, it may not be possible to discuss/poll all issues to carry out a full 10-turn chat session. Nonetheless, I feel that with the advent of the Industrial era on our horizon, this schedule offers us more flexibility.

First Order of Business - Governmental Appointees
There are several positions that need filling. Edit: The Vice President has opened a thread on this subject. Please post your application there if you are interested in helping out.
  • Judge Advocate
  • Gov of North Province
  • Gov of Southwest Province
  • Gov of SDC (South Doughnut Coast)
  • Gov of Hafen Land
  • Gov of Unnamed Western Province that used to be unofficially referred to as "Sugar and Spice" or something lame like that... ;)
The gubernatorial positions represent a rather large portion of our Senate, and as we intend to be voting on some ammendments to our Constitution this term, I hope to fill these vacancies soon. All interested parties, please contact this office ASAP.

Second Order of Business - Having Fun
While this difficulty level may prevent us from pursuing some game actions and limit our options from one turn to the next, we still can find a way to have some fun. Rather than trying to divorce ourselves from the RPG or vice-versa, we need to look at ways to bring a little of the RPG back into the DG and similarly, bring a little of the DG back into the RPG.
 
Yes, after 5 consecutive terms of running for President, I now am serving my fourth term as Vice President. And, I must say, considering the title my office holds, there is ABSOULUTELY NOTHING I have to do. I just sit around until the President croaks or goes on vacation. Considering that, my agenda this term shall consist of trying to increase the responsibilites of the future holders of this prestigious office.

You don't need the Pres for that, CT. Just do a poll "Confirm CivGeneral as Trade Deputy?" with Yes, No and Abstain options. Let it run for a minimum of 48 hours or until quorum is met.

Congratulations to 40J and Octavian X for being elected to their perspective offices. This is an exciting time for Fanatika.

Mr. President, please review the "PLAN A" submitted in this thread and the posts following it. Is there anything you can do to help move this proposal forward?

I realize that you are not only against attacking America, but also against connecting the Saltpeter that will allow us to train Musketmen. But this plan can be effective in a universal manner as far as our target goes. It doesn't matter which target we choose, the plan will still help get our Nation online in terms of Military Production.

Please tell us what you can do to help move this plan forward. Thank you.

I have reviewed the plan as you requested and I find it full of merit. Considering that there appears to be some sentiment in favor of connecting this resource sooner rather than later ;), I suggest we formalize this plan of action and poll the citizenry on it.

I recommomend postponing the next turn chat to fully discuss our defense and counter attack. Our cities need barracks now for the musket upgrades. The Indians hit us where it hurts - in the center, attempting to split us in two. We need a message here to address the Citizens of Fanatika.
 
Mr. President. I've read your closing comments for the t/c today, but I can't find a copy of the t/c chatlog on the file server. I need a better explanation of what happened at today's t/c. Before we lose any available windows of oportunity, can we re-post the chatlog and extrapolate on the situation a little more?

P.S. Please make any t/c chatlog a full one, not butchered to protect the chosen people, ty.
 
Well, it appears you people have buried the chatlog to cover your mistakes. That's a very evil thing to do. You must be high level politicians. Sorry I've interupted your very important day. Now I have to waste my time trying to figure out who to PI!
