The demographics of our country. We shouldnt be totally worried about just the military.

We rank 7th in GNP
We rank 6th in literacy
We rank 7th in productivity

We need to improve these rankings, and no amount of military units and or production is going to help that. We have very corrupt cities because we wont build courthouses, rather focusing military production in our fronteir cities when we should focus on culture in those cities and the cities that have pretty much built everything they can with our military.

How about we Organize a "Fanatikan Literacy" Campaing :)

The literacy rate is worrying I must admit. That's why we must focus on building libraries etc. In the cities we do not designate to building units, whether they be for defense or offense.

ill say this again there isnt a thing wrong with cyc plan with exception that we think we need to build an offense along with our defense, why not just build defense then when we have our gnp and productivity higher we then build offensive weapons and crush our enemies. We rank #1 in land area and that will only increase if we raise our borders more with cultural improvemnts

The cultural ministry supports this initiative to get more culture and non military improvements in our cities. It is inexcusable that we are the strongest militaristic civilization yet we are far behind in other areas.

you seemed to have concetrated entirely on our military instead of the rest tho

I made a thread like this 3 weeks ago, and I got no support. Maybe because I wasn't as extreme....

Miitary is something we must also concentrate on, but I never said anything about forgetting about everything else. We must improve on everything and it's the job of all our advisor and leaders to do what we can, example, Cultural leader should take care of Literacy, our governors should be taking care of population and production, our Domestic Leader should be taking care of GNP. We should all take this seriously.

We have 46 cities.
We have 35 libraries.
We 13 temples.
We have 5 universities.
We have 1 colosseum.
We have 6 granaries.
We have 2 aqueducts.
We have 3 markets.
we have 3 harbors.
We have 2 courthouses.

We did not get althese things by concentrating entirely on our military. Do we need more of these things? Yes, we do. Do we need more military units? Yes, we do.

It would be great if our domestic leader would help us to find the proper balance between military and non-military production.

2 courthouses out of 46 cities?!?! and 3 markets?!?!? ok new plan we build a marketplace in each city, then we build a courthouse for each city, make sure the cities that need them build aquaducts, granaries and universities and we'll see how much money and less corruption it nets us so we can produce units faster

What we all need here is to take a step back, this is not something that cannot be solved. It is obvious Fionn wants one thing, others want something else, Cyc wants plan A. What we need is a CIVIL conversation with all sides willing to compromise.

Not to mention our military is now putting a DRAIN on our economy with every unit built! We have exceeded our allowable limit. That's room for 100 units. 100gpt less for trading techs. Don't come crying when our cavalry can't take out thier infantry!

We do not need courthouses in every city. Markets will eventually be needed in all cities but there is time to accomplish that.

Let's look at the figures listed above against those for the 13 Plan A cities:

Code:
[COLOR=blue]
Improvement: Total ratio Plan A ratio

Library 35 76% 13 100%
temple 13 28% 6 46%
university 5 11% 4 31%
colosseum 1 2% 1 7%
market 3 7% 2 15%
granary 6 13% 5 38%
harbor 3 7% 2 15%
aqueduct 2 4% 2 15%
courthouse 2 4% 1 7%

The cities used in Plan A are not totally developed but they are much more developed than the rest of the country.

Im fine on the first coulmn, but the second one makes no sense

Universities: 9/46 is 20% unless Im doing this wrong...

Sorry for not explaining it better. The First two coloumns refer to all 46 of our cities. The second two columns refer only to the 13 cities that fall under Plan A.

Five of our cities have universities giving the 5/46 or 11% figure. Four of the 13 Plan A cities have universities giving 4/13 or 31%.

I'm trying to show that the Plan A cities are the most developed that we have and therefore the best choices for producing military units for a period. Also trying to show that Plan A allows the cities that need improvements the most to work on them.

I see, thanks Donsig. What would also help your chart would be a post-Plan A results column, but this can work as well.

we now have 49 cities, get the math right

My figures do not include the two cities that flipped or the city we built during the Jan. 4 turn chat. As far as I know none of these cities have any improvements. Including them would only lover the percentages in column 2 even further.

Lower them even further? So your saying we lack development? Reinforcing the idea that we need to focus on improvements.
