Cartographic Office and City Name Registry

Presidential Request:

I have a few requests to make of all governors:
  • Stop listing micromanagement instructions separately. Include any micromanagement instructions with the build queue for each city. If you wish to include a graphic, fine, if not, fine also. But pease put these instructions underneath the build orders/queue for each city in your province.
  • Let's start referring to the "workers" inside each city as laborers to avoid any confusion with the unit that runs around mining and irrigating and stuff. ;)
  • List any non-preturn instructions (ie. rush this improvement in turn 2, or change the laborer in this city from this tile to this tile in turn 4, etc...) separately. Even include a divider (ie. <><><> or similar) so that it is easier to find and refer to during the t/c.
The idea is to bring some consistency to these instructions so the DP, whether it is I or anyone else, can identify things easier. I hope that by following these guidelines we will speed up the preturn considerably and make the turn chat more enjoyable for all. Thank you.

One more thing... I will not likely be able to log on tomorrow (well, today... the 7th...), so Octavian will be running the show in the event that a crisis of some kind unexpectedly arises. I should be back online sometime before the next turn chat, however, just not likely tomorrow.

South Doughnut Coast

Padmativa: Courthouse (20)
When the city expands in 4 turns, make sure the new laborer goes to the irrigated plains.
When those workers have brought the magic of irrigation to Leningrado, please have them mine the gold hill next to Padmativa.

Leningrado: Temple (7), Barracks, change pike to musket
When the city expands in 4 turns, place the new laborer on an irrigated plain.
Please let those workers continue to bring water to the desert.

Upgrade the 3 Horsemen in Kyoto to knights at a cost of 240g (80 gold per horse). Do not upgrade them if the Domestic Dept. Doesn't authorize the Expenditure

Gather future Knights in New Falcon's Haven or Cuernavaca, pending a future poll to verify the target of the next war, or if their will be a war, since the last poll was so close and there has been much discussion since then.

Budget Requests and Approvals
South Doughnut Coast
I would like to request gold to rush the temple in Leingrado. The exact amount fails me, but I believe it'll run between 50g-70g.APPROVED

Miltary Department
The Military Dept. would like to request 240 gold in order to upgrade the 3, last remaining, horsemen in Kyoto, during the preturn tonight's t/c.APPROVED

Bavaria Build Queue
Knight (c), Knight, Musket, Musket

Micromanagement Suggestions
Kyoto - Place entertainer on either the bonus grasslands, or roaded tile by the river for 2 gpt.

Eklektochtitlan has 2 ents., but could use a market before taking them off. (removing them causes unhappiness)

Dacula - S-SW tile can be removed (ent) at no loss in shields and commerce.

Serenity - (optional) The worked tile to the south can be taken off to trigger a WLTKD.

Palanthus - One entertainer can be sent fishing in the coast.

Sturmandrang - Take off a worked forest tile at no loss to trigger a WLTKD

Huntington - Take off a worked forest tile north of the city for a WLTKD (It has no aquaduct)

The Burrow - It has no acquaduct, so the irragated grassland (south of the saltpeter) can be placed on the saltpeter for an extra 1g

Trade Instructions:

China

Fur Trade can be renegotiated this turn. See what the highest bid is along with gems.

We can do this one first, to see if we can save any gems for possible techs, or include furs in the gem deals.

England

Prining Press, WM, 20g, TM for Gunpowder

France

20gpt, 6g for our gems!

Babylon

26gpt, 15g for gems!

Zulus

2 workers for 60g

Turn 3

Babylon - I believe our incense and 22gpt deal runs out this turn (from a tech?). Renegotiate, or see who else will buy incense.

Zulus - Fur deal ends in 3 turns (it might be part of the allience deal)

Turn 5

Greece - Our Incense deal expires. 14gpt is a good source of income for now.

Presidential Summary
War!
For five turns we experienced productive growth and expansion of our military and anticipated an invitation to join in the campaign against Russia at almost any time.... Peace treaties began to appear between some of our friends and the hated Persians, which raised some suspicious eyebrows, but no alarms.

One of which was the Indian truce with Persia. Their countless elephants which we had observed parading across our lands for so long, were suddenly turning around and heading back home (some to the north, towards Satsuma, and others to the southwest, towards the mainland).

Then suddenly, in 900AD, without provocation, the vile Indians attacked in full force! Five Fanatikan towns were taken in the first wave. The heaviest losses came in the prestigious North Province and in distant Rhineland. Rumor has it that the casino in Huntington has gone underground and is serving as the headquarters for the resistance movement in the city.

All Fanatikans are now called upon to serve your country. Our military is strong, but not conveniently positioned to deal with this threat at this time. We must recruit new warriors to fight this new threat and push the Indians back forever. Let it be said to all Indians everywhere, "We will never forget this day!"
