Do you like the classic board game Risk??:confused:
Do you like the classic pc game Civilization?? :confused:

If you answer yes on both questions then this is the mode for you!!! :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

You must choose between The 6 continents as they are the only Civs... There are no barbarians and you start with some units but there are only 3 basic units in the game(not including settler, worker, army and leader), they are Infantry, Calvalry and Artillery. They can be upgraded as time passes, but they will still be the same basic groups. Hope you like it...


Please give me ideas on how to improve the mod!!
please post constructive critisism and let me know what you think of the mod.

Here is the new version; v0.4b I have edites some few things..
- I have revised the tech tree
- I have changed civ names to different players instead of continents
- Other Minor Changes to Improve gameplay

Here is v0.5.. Im so sorry for the waiting time, but here it is with a complete risk map. You cant build workers\settlers anymore and dont even think of walking anywhere else but the railroads, its a 1000 in movement points there.. :D This is a beta version as it havent been tested very much yet.. (readme is coming later)

Does anyone know a way I can put the risk card system into use in this mod??
 
Great idea! Yet there is on minor problem. You start with so many units that the computer disbands units because of lack of gold :eek: .
 
ok Ill see if I can fix that maby by making more gold resources or giving you more money to start with...

I used Kal-els map.. I was going to make a readme with credits, but I havent had very much time to do so and it doesnt seem to be much interrest in the mod :cry: so its very much down prioritatet and it will continiue to be so untill people think its more interresting..

I had to take a screenshot of the minimap since I cant show the whole map in one screen :mad: If thats possible somehow I would like to know how..
 
I think this mod would have been better with a Small map, and each of the territorys as ONE city.

v1.0 will hopefylly come in about 2-3 weeks, but I cant promise anything since I have a lot of exams for the moment...
 
* You might want to revise the civilization advance tree, because the removal of some units has caused some previously important military advances fairly useless.

* Also, you might want to make new units and revise others to make it easier to defeat your enemies.
 
I will look into this and I was thinking of getting a units wich was a cannon with a infantry units standing there shooting... Other then that I dont get wich units you think I should have.. I will fix the tech tree for the next version as well...

It isnt 0.5 yet, because I havent added the map yet.. Im working on it, but I have to get hold of a desent risk map (lost my old one) so it can take a while, but hopefully it will be done by tomorrow, or at least at wedensday...
 
Im sorry I havent finished it, Its almost finshed, but I cant fix the remaning stuff since my computer dont like me, so he decided that Civ3 dont work any more :mad: I wil fix all problems as soon as possible and the put it out here, bu I cant promise anything regarding release date as I dont know when my computer is working again...
 
How did you get the rails to place over the water?
I can't for the life of me figure that one out
 
When I tried opening v.0.5 in Civ 3, I got this error: ERROR READIN FILE
Missing entry in "text\PediaIcons.txt": WON_SPLSH_BLDG_Palace

This may just be because I was using PTW. I'll try Vanilla Civ 3 and come back to say if it works.
 
Im sorry I havent had the time to answer untill now...

I have looked into the problem and I simply cant find the error...
I dont understand why u get this error msg... Have you looked un your pediacons file to see if u actually have the Palace there?? Thats the only reason I can find for this error.. however I do so that this is a highly unlikely reason since I cant understand how it would have been deleted... I will try to look into it some more but I really dont understand it...


BTW: I might be able to get some time on my hands and work on my modding projects.. Im currenctly making like about 4 mods and I dont have very much time to work on them at all so Im sorry that its going slowly... I hope I will be able to get out a new version soon...
