Here are the trades outlined by the Trade Department for 1030AD. This is up for discussion.

America:

WM, TM, 24gpt, 25g, for nationalism
We can also sign a trade embargo against Babylon in this deal. (wouldn't do anything, but could prevent a saltpeter deal if the Bab saltpeter is cut) - This one is optional.

Iroquois:

11gpt for Gems

France - We currently have a gems deal that expires in 1 turn. Continue with the current deal.

Turn 6

Greece - Our Incense ends in 6 turns. I'm wary of ending this one, but Greece does have a huge economy, due to their commercial trait.

Turn 7

Russia - Our incense deal with Russia runs out (apparently included in a peace treaty). Renew a spice deal with Russia, or who ever is able to trade.

Other instructions:
Connect the Ivory & Dyes. We'll be needing it soon for possible tech trades or massive gpt income from Greece and possibly China.

Sounds good. We should also be coming into incense when we take Calcutta. Does that have any market value?

Feodor
(Still walking around Bavaria with a cane and scarf-wrapped head after being wounded in the storming of Nagasaki)

I beleve this looks good Chieftess :).

A caution on embargoes - depending on what they have left (if they are left at all) when we want to end the war, an embargo will limit what we can extort.

That said, stick it to 'em. I support an embargo along with the other trades.

Just an update - I've added a few more instructions. I don't really like cancelling the luxs deals (a few are due next turn) because of the wars.

I don't like the idea of giving nationalism to America but they're bound to get it anyway one way or another. I support these deals as well.

Were these trades even done? I was about to post these when my ISP's router failed. :( I know! It must've been those Babylonian agents who knocked it out!

But, I hear something about Rome being gone. India and the Zulus are nearly gone... and (from the turn 5 save), I see France has colonized some gold.
