This is usually where I would list all of the reasons for why I should be chosen over an immensely popular candidate, but all I will say is read thru every thread since Term 6 began. Read through each government thread and all the discussions threads; you will likely find one of my suggestions there. See how my Golden Age Plan and Size 12 Plan are being successfully carried out. I have tried to involve myself in every facet of this game.

Octavian X is a great guy who will bring alot of fun to the game.

However, if you want a President that will not miss a beat in the chats, and will actively work with all departments to ensure a quick, decisive victory:

After looking at the saves, I see you've ignored our previous conversation, and after reading the turnchat instruction thread, I see you tried to replace my laborer allocation. I have addressed this more fully in the Domestic Dept. thread. These things are another reason I didn't vote for you.

DZ has made plans for the country, involved everyone in them, and has achieved many goals like no other. He will be sorely missed in the Domestic office, and deserves to be president.

Both are excellent candidates but I am supporting Donovan Zoi for this position. DZ has done a phenomenal amount of study, discussion, planning and debating to organize nationally critical issues.

I too am supporting DZ in this one. He is very involved in the game in every aspect, and he works hard on his plans. Octavian, you got MSDG . Wasn't this suppose to be the battle of the titans?

Thank to all who have voiced their support for my campaign. It's nice to see that my efforts haven't gone completely unnnoticed.

However, my strategists tell me I need a famous cartoon character and slogan and a bit more levity if I have any chance of pulling this one off. So don't blame me for the following:

This could be the biggest update in DG history. DZ is only losing by three votes...

I have always tried to keep from using the elections threads as a stumping ground for myself. However, the closeness of this race merits an exception.

For the past nine months, in multiple capacities representing all branches of our government, I have served Fanatika (and our beloved Phoenatica). In those months, I have gained more experience than I ever dreams I could when I first started playing the democracy game.

I want to use that experience for the betterment of Fanatika as a whole. The job of the President, as I see it, is a unique one. If anything, the job is one of balancing: one between in-game matters and those of politics. It is one of compromise, where one must lead and follow.

I feel that, after spending the last half three-fourths of the year, I have gained the knowledge (and sometimes, more than I care to know) to do this job, do it right, and do it in a way to advance Fanatika beyond our wildest dreams.

Experience counts. Vote Octavian.

Octavian, your speech came way too late for me. I was the second person to vote for DZ.

Mr. Zoi, your rebuttal.....

Experience. Every opponent I have faced has mentioned the "E" word, as if mere tenure should be a sole factor in the leadership of our nation. While it is true that I am a relative newcomer compared to my opponent, I have experience as well.

However, my buzzword shall be dedication.

In two Military terms gaining experience under the fabled General Falcon, I was able to show my dedication by being very active in discussions, and leaving very thorough chat instructions. I made it to chats whenever possible.

By the grace of the Fanatikan people, I was able to gain election to the Domestic Department, where many have said that my dedication to the position was unparalleled. I worked with each governor to maximise his/her province and actively participated in all department discussions. I showed up at the chat whenever possible to make sure my proposals were being carried out. I backed down from a stance when I determined it would go against the will of the people. This one month alone has equipped me with the experience to feel confident enough to run for this position.

So, now it comes down to experience vs. dedication. Or does it?

Both candidates certainly have both, in my opinion.

And with that, I wish the best of luck to one of Fanatika's greatest institutions, and hope he does the same for the hardest working man in Fanatika. We are both going to need it since we have almost the same amount of experience at being DP.

I had to vote DZ because he writes longs PMs personally to me, out of the blue. That's dedication for you. DZ is the people's champion, with a low post count, and started out low on the food chain (or at least that's what he told me).
