Map creating offer

NEWS : I am still working on some maps but I won't release any new one before Conquests reaches me.
Then I will release all the maps in a pack. They will be all corrected (for my previous maps), incorporate the new terrain features of Conquests (+ all the extra goodies if any) and include a special set of luxuries for each map. Rules will be tweaked as well to allow realistic resource placement and everything should be in English.

Just to avoid asking what is already programmed:

- Egypt (done)
- India (done)
- Southern Africa (done)
- Large Indian Ocean (progress)
- France (done)
- Balkans for Crimean War (done)
- Baltic (done).
- Greek world from Southern Italy to Asia Minor (done)

I don't garantee you will have anything soon but if some people want 2 or 3 extra maps, I think I can manage.

Just note, even through I correct the distortion in PTW maps as much as possible, these maps might still be stretched a little.

Guess could do. This sounds basically like a land mass and that is not too difficult to do.

But please lte me know the exact limits as well as the size, and maybe what kind of resources you want (normal, customized, none).

What about South America and Africa (in two seperate ones)... You said Egypt was done but what about Sub-Saharan Africa, or narrow it down to one of the southern region and then one of the congo and Ivory coast region... As for South America a map of the upper half including parts of Central America could be interesting.

Egypt is already in the map thread. As for the others I am doing it is more a regional one (stretching from Nubia to Southern Greece and Ethiopia to Persia) than a pure country one.

North South America (!) : have you tried el Mencey's map ?
do you want it more south ?

Sub-Saharan Africa : I am not so keen on Africa but I might try to make the Guinea gulf (from Ivory Coast to Congo).

Can you be more precise ?
Limits North, South, East and West...

or best, check the link in the previous post and post or PM me a picture of the area you want.
Actually Western Europe would be the last on my list (except if there is a big cry for it) because there are so many maps around this area already.

Forget western Russia. What about a map of Africa and Europe together? Size should be about L80.H160.

That is a very interesting idea.

But I don't know that it is possible to have a non-squared map.
Any info on that ?

dont worry, it is. I made alot non-squared maps myself. Just use the "generate map" feature, then those the size, it will make a make and then just clean it up so its ready to editet.

Yeah that looks like a good view... I must have missed that map of South America. If one is already done no need to duplicate work.
Maybe just nudge it slightly to the right to include parts of Madagascar.

OK, by the end of next week. I want to finish Baltic and Southern Africa first. And around the week-end will be extremely busy for me.

BTW since you seem to like Africa, did you take a look at my map of Southern Africa (other thread). I need some feedback before completing it.

But I worked for you (a bit). I just wanted to make sure I was working in the right direction.

Here is a preview then the file for the "Congo" map.

Hills and most mountains are still missing and Yemen/Madagascar haven't been started yet. And terrains have been placed as landmarks only based on vegetation types (Sahel, wet lands, tropical jungle) to help me or you. Remebe this is in no way final.

Now I want your opinion on the "feel" of the map. Things you want more focus on, things you don't like, things you like (maybe), more or less rivers, etc....

IMHO the Western part might not be large enough.
