These are requests and suggestions for good quality, animated, and era-specific leaderheads. They should be on a par with Sween, Piernik, and other's leaderheads. In other words, they should, like the Firaxis ones, look like the real person but not too much. These are just suggestions btw, in case someone needs an idea.

Replacements for current leaderheads

Winston Churchhill
would replace Elizabeth

Why? I personally would rather play against or as ol' Winny than Liz. I bet others would also feel this way.

Napoleaon Bonaparte
would replace Joan D'Arc

Why? Mostly everyone hates Joan. And mostly everyone wants a good Napoleon leaderhead. Enough said.

Theodore Roosevelt
would replace Lincoln

Why? This is more of a personal thing. I like Lincoln, I think he was probably one of the better presidents, but I think that TR would be an AWESOME leader for my favorite civ, America. This is more of a personal request, but I had to ask.

New Leaderheads

King David
would be for Israel

Why? I think Israel is a civ that many would like, but there are no good leaderheads for it. David was the first king and so he is a likely leader.

Sitting Bull
would be for the Sioux

Why? I need him for my Sioux civ. And I think others could use him.

Simon Bolivar
would be for Gran Colombia

Why? Well, I admit the civ is rather odd, but I think Gran Colombia is a great addition to my Civ3 mod and that they need an appropriate leaderhead. I currently have to use Sween's Fidel, who looks nothing like Bolivar.

If anyone is interested in making one of these, ask and I'll post pictures.

If you don't mind a little friendly threadjacking, ;) I have a question for the community spurred by your request. Why is everyone so fond of animation in the leaderheads? I've never found the animation to be at all useful. If they are supposed to be displaying an expression of their mood, I never see it; I can only gauge the mood from the text. To me, the animation of the leaderheads is pure useless eye candy. I can frankly do without all the eye-blinking ;)

A quality static leaderhead image such as those being made by gael which gives the same 3-d look is just as good to my line of thinking and it's way smaller. So what is it about the animations that I don't get? :)

I second you on Simon Bolivar : i'm a latin, and i think there should be a more modern representation of the other part of america.

I also second you on Napoleon and Churchill, i actually have them already. You can get them here, on this forum.

For america, actually i am using Kennedy : i like his ideals of equality, his search of peace and in the same time how he handle the Cuban-Soviets missile crisis. Altrouh, i think that a clinton one would be another good option. I also have washington for a later use.

and for israel, i recently did a request for a more modern leader : Yitzkah Rabin, because i think that he did have the key for real peace for israel-palestine.
The idea of having david is good, but they are also some other ancient-times leader to take in count : Solommon, Moses and Abraham (well, maybe they werent kings, but they where leaders indeed).

I think you forgot to mention someone to replace : Catherine of Russia. I'm using Stalin instead, and another good option could be Peter the Great.

I will start to work on leaderheads on a couple of weeks, after my finals tests are over, and my first project in mind is Attila of the Hun. What does anybody think?

TR is definitely one of my favorite presidents.

Mine too. That's why I asked for him. :D

I dunno, pdescobar. I guess I just like eyecandy. ;)

Actually, I think that what it comes down to is that I like conformity. I wouldn't at all mind quality static leaderheads in another mod, such as say a Middle-Earth one, but as additions to the normal game I want ones that ares similar to the preexisting ones. Maybe I'm just picky. :)

This is why I added Gran Colombia to my mod. I felt that Latin America is sorely underrepresented in Civ3 and I wanted a good civ for it. I decided to use Gran Colombia mainly as a what-if sort of thing- what if Simon Bolivar had succeeded in uniting South America?

I hate Catherine too. Vdog is making an excellent looking Lenin leaderhead, though, so I figured this is one request that is already filled. Although Peter the Great would be cool.

Atilla is a great idea too. I was going to add the Huns, but after I added Gran Colombia I hit the 31 civ limit. :( I wish I could have more. Good idea though.

I agree about replacing Catherine the Great. Lenin was such a more important leader in Russian history than her. A request I have is President Dowiyogo of Nauru (if anyone knows who or what that is). I am working on the Pacific Islands mod as my signature says, and I am definitely not sure what to do on leaderheads. I have 2 already that are the real leaders, but I'm sure I'll end up using a bunch of leaderheads of other people to represent most of them.
