45 cities and many GLs later, I'm proud to announce that we have just reached the Point of No Return! This is it! We now have the game in hand, and it's time to think about domination (or Diplo).

I've noticed some large gaps in our borders (that culture will take a while to cover). We can build cities in these areas:

I'd like domestic to look those over.

Also, what should we do next? Attack England? Russia? We could probably do both at once AND before we even get the UN! Should we use a spy? I can tell you from building rails in England that they're still pretty weak (rifles...). Russia also has rifles running around. Greece is still our ally, and so is Persia (for now). So, it looks like China would be the next target.

I think we should take Russia and England within a few turns. We should conquer one right after another or at the same time, it wouldn't really matter, as they should be extremely easy victories.
Once we take them, we should go for a comparatively difficult conquest, like China. How close are we to domination now, and how much closer would we be if Russia, England, and China were ours?

We should knock out England after the ROP is done and the workers are removed. In the mean time, we should take down Russia and load a transport with some Panzers to get rid of those Pesky French. We MUST wait until the China/Greece MPP is done (unless it already is).
While Im At It:
MAPSTAT REPORT
Tiles Owned: 2832 (51%)
Tiles Needed for Dom: 3633 (66%)
Tiles Needed: 801 (15%)

Pop Owned: 1305 (60%)
Pop Needed for Dom: 1443 (66%)
Pop Needed: 138 (6%)

Also, a large amount of the land (11% I think) is unclaimed. Half of that is probably coastlines. We could plop down a few cities where our culture border doesn't reach.

Yes, we will reach our domination goal faster if we buid cities at any place that isn't under our cultural border and that isn't claimed. We may also take that opportunity to empty the City Name Registry.

 Empty the City Name Registry. Now THERE'S something I thought we'd never do. :D

also, what techs should we research? We'll probably get Fission automatically, then we should go for computers. What next? Synthetic Fibers?

Isn't it Rocketry that we *usualy* get at the beginning of the Modern Age? Anyway, I believe our Queue should be:
Fission->Computer->Ecology->Synthetic Fibers

If you ask: Why Computers before Modern Armors? The answer is simple: we have hundreds of infantries to upgrade and we could build S.E.T.I. Project.

Also, looking at the map, I can build just a couple more roads in key spots in England, and we could take England out in 1 turn. I'd like military to look at this.

We should strongly consider taking down Persia instead of China for the win. As the the last statistics I saw, they had a much weaker military and a lot less jungle to go through.

For rapid conquest and the domination win, the combination Persia-Russia might do the job, or Persia-Russia-England. China is a much tougher nut to crack, even without their MPP with Greece.

Chasing the French off to their island seems a waste of time and resources.

I agree with Feodor. Let's finish the English railroad project, and attack Persia. It'll take forever to get through Chinese and English jungles, not to mention Russian mountains, while there's a complete railroad system and plains leading to Persia.

Also, I think we could have the Greeks finish off St. Joan on her island. Greece will sign an alliance against France for 205 gold and a world map.

I say:

1) Fill in the gaps.

2) Topple the English before we step into the Persian Line.

I agree, at this point I looks to me that the only thing that the English are good for is the ROP. It would not only further our goal of Domination but it would make the passage of the English territories easier if we were to take "Proxy-control" of their land:D

We'll need more infantry too, just for the garrisons. We are literally stretched thin in the number of infantry we have. In fact, we have ancient units protecting the interior cities. The maginot line has the rest of the troops. Cities with 45spt production (after corruption) could make infantry units (90spt cities that aren't under a 100spt plan would be good too). The infantry aren't just for garrisoning units, but for quelching riots.

We should build libraries in our newly-captured French cities. It would fill in many gaps, and we would gain a healthy boost to scientific research in the process.

That's the current plan for those cities. I'm guessing they'll cover 200-250 tiles when they expand.

hopefully this plan will let us grab enough land for a domination victory. Speeking of witch, we are on a cross roads on what victory we should achive at this point. I would like to throw in some pros and cons of what eather the UN or Domination victory will take us.

For the UN victory we have a quciker victory since we have to research Fusion and save a GL to rush build it. The Downside is that we use up a GL in the process.

For the Domination victory we would have to grab every single tile which leads to a Downside, Time. Time for to capture the cities and Time to grow there borders will factor in . To Neglect the Time effect for Domination. We need to continue using the Railroad, Tank, and Artillery tactics that we have been doing for the past few turns.

I am confident, at this point, that we can acquire the necessary territory for the Domination win in anywhere from 10 - 20 turns. I will need some more intelligence data to access the situation and some statistical analysis by people familiar with the Domination requirements. If we can get the win without engaging the Chinese and the Greeks so much the better. Less work, more elegance.
