We're coming into the Modern Age within the next 4 turns or so, and we need to determine which techs we should research next.

Note: the "cost" figures for tech advances are the relative costs as outlined in the editor. They do not represent the number of beakers needed to discover that advance, but rather should be used as a guide to determine the relative value of each advance and the relative time needed to discover each advance.

Upon discovery of Radio, we shall advance to the Modern Age! Due to our Scientific nature, we shall receive an additional tech (either Ecology, Rocketry, Fission, or Computers) automatically.

I request that all citizens post their preferences for our short term science queue (ie. throughout the next 10-15 turns). Assume Radio is #1 as we are currently researching this tech. Also, feel free to post any supporting arguments you may have as well.

Example:

1 - Radio (current)
2 - Fission
3 - Computers
4 - Ecology

Fission to get the UN to prevent the vote. Computers to get Mech Inf to safeguard against Greek treachery and Ecology to curb the pollution problems we are facing and to open the doorway to Modern Armor.

Fission->Computer->Ecology->Synthetic Fibers

If you ask: Why Computers before Modern Armors? The answer is simple: we have hundreds of infantries to upgrade and we could build S.E.T.I. Project.

The Manhatten Project is one wonder you DON'T want to build first. It's Pandora's Box. You know, for an emperor game, we might be finished with this game earlier (tech-wise) than DG1 (monarch level).

I'd say Fission --> Computers --> Eco --> Synth. Fibers.

Although I doubt we'll get that far before we win.
 
I also agree with Chieftess and Octavian; Mech inf and MA are very good (Not to mention alot of fun!). We could enjoy the last turns with those bad boys.
