In a recent game of unmodified PTW v 1.21 the Aztecs declared war on me and my Domestic advisor popped up to tell me:
"We lost our supply of AD"
What's this mean?

It's either a bug or your labels.txt is a bit messed up. My PTW 1.21f labels.txt is 24,306 bytes. If yours is the same, I'd say bug; if yours is different, I'll guess the latter.

Don't worry, your info box says you still have an amazing reserve of 1950 ADs...

on topic:
The AD thing has been detected before. I remember a thread where AD was a substitute for a civ. Was sth like "The AD declared war on us" or such.

I have seen this in a post some time ago... can't remember if it was a SotD...

Time is after you! RUN!!!

Oh wait I know AD is.....

Perhaps your athletic director quit. The Gayagaahe Bulldogs will probably be banned from the NCAA next year over his illegal recruiting Texcoco High School kids.. umm yeah thats it lol ;)

It's clearly a reference to Andy Dick - you don't want a very large supply of him anyway...

Since I just read the thread about how the fun is draining out of CFC, I couldn't resist to post this old picture.

They were lucky; as they were counting in reverse order, they could foresee.

Never knew that the limit of integer numbers was 1950.

Here's another screenshot. Now AD isn't a resource but is the Japanese. I also notice that it's the morons in Greeks instead of Greece.

i mus get my friends BC to help. there millions of them and only a few thousands of these AD fellows! :D

Ahhh, the memories. Civ2 Fantastic Worlds was really buggy if you tried to play more than one game per session, or for extended scenario sessions. Occasionally, all the strings for the names would get messed up, and as a result government types, titles, units, bonus resources, etc. would get shifted around funny, and you'd get all sorts of weird stuff, like a unit called a Fundamentalism and a commodity called Musketeers. When I switched governments once, it said "Caesar proclaimed the Corn of the new Roman Oil!" I'll have to install Civ2FW again to see if I can make that happen, it was great :).

I assume the same problem is happening here; somewhere something overflowed in the data and pushed the strings around. You'd think they'd have learned how to get around this problem by now...

Good for them ;)

For me the AD was both Scandinavia and Rome

Edit: Did you see that? Advisor said in thr Screen Shot just above, "The morons in Greeks"

Yeah, what morons would hang insdie Greeks anyway?

I think the Foreign Advisor has had too much <sippy><sippy>. He's not only mispronouncing the names of nations but is now telling me of some secret conspiracy involving this otherwise unheard of AD.

Having this guy as Foreign Advisor may explain why no one gives me fair trade deals and why I'm always at war.
