What would it gain us and what would we need to invest and therefore will not be able to use otherwise. In economics: What is the opportunity cost ?
I think the opportunity cost is high; fewer Legionairs, reduced response to unexpected situations and just a very small treasury.
What would it gain us ? A possible ally (if we spend a lot of money (do we need an ally Vs Egypt ?), more intelligence and a peek in the capital. One part has got me doubting; our allies aren't Cleo's allies.
Is it worth it? That's for everyone to decide for themselves, but I think, at this moment, the gains do not outweigh the investments. If you add to this that Greece might build an embassy in our civ, I say we shouldn't do it.
(concerning Greece building an embassy in our capital; It's Civ 3 or PTW ??)
I think we should. It would create a great advantage to have Greece as our allies against Egypt, and it would speed up our attack a lot, as they would take our northern cities. It is a small investment to make to have Greece as our allies.
