And yes, I did copy shamelessly from Plexus' Term 2 thread.

Dear Governor,

I am writing to you now regarding your recently posted game play instructions. First of all I would like to commend you for your promptness in posting these orders. It is greatly appreciated. :goodjob: I must say though that I question the wisdom of the orders. I will reprint them here:

Mr. President. Due to recent events, especially the announcement that closed-door chats will take place as well as the PI, I have decided to issue the following orders for Aventine Province. All cities will be switched to the production of Wealth, and shall remain producing Wealth until I order differently. This production shall not be changed, even if we are at war. Secondly, all workers shall finish their current tasks and move to the nearest city, where they shall sentry until I order diffferently. I believe that this action will be for the benefit of the entire Demogame. I also ask that all department heads interested in stalling this game for purposes of creating a period of R&R for restructuring the game take actions similar to those that I have taken here. Thank you.

While this additional income to our treasury may allow us to increase the science rate to 80% I would like to point out how many shields will be wasted in each of your cities:

Inadatto: 41 shields
Regia Doughnutia: 26 shields
Lake Asphinxia: 12 shields
Elephantine: 21 shields
Memphis: 6 shields
New Jedina: 9 shields

For a total of 115 shields wasted. As far as I can tell your posted instructions are legal and as such must be followed. I do hope you had not only the will of the people but their benefit in mind when you posted these instructions.

Thank you,
donsig

Errr... Governors dont control where the workers go, only what they must do in terms of improvements. It is up to the president to decide when the workers do certain task, doing the tasks that the governors specified.

If you ask for no worker improvements to be made, then all the workers are going to move to my province, or Rik Meleets (unless he joins in this nonsense as well). Which is fine by me!

Please, lets avoid a mutiny here. No turn chats works very well in our CFC MSDG. I know, we only play one turn at a time, but we rarely give instructions more than every ten or so turns (unless it's me ;)) Lets just try something new.

Well, this is a moot point as the the instructions have already been changed.

Glad to see that the DGIII community is getting over petty disagreements and working together again. Now I feel as if everything is normal again after a bumpy few days.

Welcome back to friendliness and peace, everybody! I'm sure none of us want to go down the dark road we've been down again.

Governor Noldodan,

Please see the 510 AD city placement thread for currently available locations, some of which are in your province. Please comment on the relative priority of the locations, and information on how many settlers will be produced in the near term. If you have excess production to provide settlers for the SE area that would be a big help too! :D

Dear Governor,

I am writing to you concerning your build queues. First I want to thank you for posting them in a timely manner. This is a great help/ Keep up the good work.

There are two things I would like to point out about your posted queues. I intend to place a spearman in River Crossing immediately so there is no need for that city to raise its own garrison. Please remove the spearman from River Crossing's queue and replace it with a culture building.

Also, The city of Iron Hills is within your province. Please include build queues for it in your instructions to this office. It is currently raising a spearman though it already has a garrison. The city need a culture building so its borders can expand which will allow the city to begin growing again.

Thank you,
donsig

Thank you, donsig, those changes shall be posted presently. I apologize for the queue of River Crossing, as I did not know that it had a garrison being made ready for it.

I will be absent, with absolutely no access to a computer from Saturday, July 26 through Saturday, August 2. Gingerbread Man will be taking over the Governorship of Aventine during this absence. I would also like to announce pre-self-nomination and -acceptance for the post of Governor of Aventine.

From the Jade House

Dear Govenor Noldy or Lt Govenor Gingerbread Man,

Please have your Build queues ready by 10am EDT tomorrow. I am gathering all Govenor's orders into one post so that the DP would not have to rumage around the Instructions thread for Provance instructions.

Thanks,
CivGeneral

May I suggest this queue for new Jedina after the library is built:

Aqueduct
Cathedral
Granary
Market

Officials and Citizens of Aventine,

I would like to draw your attention to this discussion on balanced production. Please take it into consideration when planning your upcoming build queues. As always, your input to this important issue is greatly desired, please feel free to speak up in the linked thread.

Thanks!

Funny you should post in this thread just before me DaveShack. There is obvious need for some detailed work in this Province.

My concerns are with Memphis and the three cities building Courthuses.

In Memphis, we are currently building Copernicus' Observatory. There are two mines being built there. One will be finished in 24 turns (after the great Wonder is completed) and the other one in 7 turns. We need to get more worker up there and complete those mines ASAP, to help with the Wonder Project. We could also utilize 2 mined Grasslands currently being used by River Crossing (a size 4 city), without putting much of a dent in its production. We need every shield we can squeeze out of Memphis we can possibly get. Please bring all the Workers you can up there.

Elephantine, Lake Asphinxia, and Omalu are all building courthouses. This is really unneeded as these cities are close enough to the Forbidden Palace that their corruption level is very low. Can we change their queues?

Again, my main concern is getting Workers up to Memphis to build mines quickly and to micromanage some mines away from River Crossing. Thanks.
