:goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

love it. love it love it. Now thats what Icall fast service.

[EDIT]

recon1591, I am gettin' some scawny green lines in the shadow. Could ya fix it. I'll use it as is, cuz its still the way way way better than what I'd come up with if I tried, but it'd be a class act to get in a perfect shadow.

Thank you Recon I was just thinking about this yesterday but was to lazy to animate it.

Strange how humans work that way... kinda creapy how we all seem to come up with the same things around the same time.:hmm:

I'll look at it again but i don't quite get what u mean. i used the same colors that where already used in the flic.

well lets see ther could be a jeep or a Art. piece or what ever unit u would like to use it for.

Dog,

That would damn well work also.

I checked the unit out in Flicster and discovered the pallette/shadow problem

Here is the fixed version. Now I gotta figure out how I can use this (as I prolly wont use the nurse idea) :D

Thanks Gi.

Oh can u tell me so i can do the same for the rest i plan on doing.

Sure. Just make sure that color 254 in the pallette is not used in the animation. Some spots of the shadow were using color number 254, and civ3 didnt like that very well I am not entirely sure, but I think 253 is the same way. Note that 255 is the last color in the pallette so the one in mention is second to last.

thanks guys for liking it and thanks GI for the info. I'll see what i can do now with the rest i plan on doing.

GI,

ok i've tried 253 and 252 are those the colors that will work. Because u are right i did use 254 and 255 for the touch up when doing them. I thought those where the right colors. I ask because i would like to get the rest right from here out.

Here are the Large and Small.pcx files and the units_32.pcx File for the SupplyDrop unit from recon1591.
...I slightly altered it from the flc file. These Files are just in case anyone wants or can use them.

Just a thought. You could build these with an ADM value of 0/0/0 with no abilities except paradrop, give it a long range, and make it fairly expensive. Your large cities could build them and then drop them on smaller towns, where you could disband them to complete projects faster. Unfortunately, I doubt the AI would know how to use them.

Could Try setting as Immobile Transport with Airdrop ability for up to 8 squares and para supplydrop what you like from cities. Foot units or other. Could also set it for Rebase ability. Give it a try. Many ways to adjust the editor settings for this unit to work as you like...the AI would not use them with "weird' settings, so what? Better for you to have fun with it.

I think this will always be useful as a generic drop (build)animation, which most units lack. This works fine with helicopters, but perhaps especially so if you have transport aircraft that can carry heavy units. While a box may not look like a tank, I am sure there are plenty of boxes to go around in any aerial assault. :)
