This thread is for the (soon to be) up and coming nation states scenario for the Civfanatica region of nation states. All players in region are welcome (and wanted) to join. Here are the following criteria for submission of your country;

6)Located 186 miles of the coast of Civfanatica, the landmass mass of the NRI republic republic could almost be called a continent in its own rigt, being a thrid as large as the main contenet itself.Verdent river vallies,tall mountains, lush forests, and frutfull plains strth across the land scape, leading to the ancient mainland fanatican belife that it was the legendary "isles of the blessed" and the citizens of the NRI republic have done everything they could throughout history to perpetuate this image

The large isles collectivlly know as the NRI republic, or, The Novus republic, are severale states, known officially as colonies of the NRI republic, with the NRI functioning as a federal capital nation.

History- The NRI republic is perhaps the only nation in fantica to have never suffer a home land invasion, or even an attempt at one, the sheer difficulty of the journey prevented it. As such, it is one of the few, if onlt nations to have a compleatlly continuous government and cuture ever since its foundation by the legendary twins Romulanus and his younger sibling Remanoii.

At one time, in the ancient past the NRI republic controlled large stretches of the easetern portion of the contenent, often clasing with the other, more barbaric mainland cultures, one of which controlled most of the mainland territory. eventually, due to the internal civil wars, dubed the "Social Wars", or the mass rebelling of the middle and lower class against the nobility for a mass government reform for equality, the mainland fanatican territories were, for the most part, neglected, and soon became indipendent, or were conqured by mainlanders, as by that time the legionaries had been recalled to the motherland, to participate in the drafting of a new constitution, as such only the native non-citizen auxilla was left, and they, for the most part, were rather poor defenders without the support of the well armed and trained legionaries.

during the ensuing middle ages while roving bands of mounted barbarians fromthe northen reaches of the mainland plaged it, The NRI continued to live peacefully, protecting what was left of the mainland holdings with legionaries, sent back to the reaminig holdings, although the territories were rapidlly becoming to expensive to maintain for there to be any justifacation of keeping them, and expanding commercially, to distant lands accross the sea which the mainlanders could only dream of, a beacon of stabilty in turbulent times, it was then, that the flag of the NRI republic was born, a orderlly,wealthy, strong land, devoted to the gods, represented by the white, in sea of barbarism,poverty, and chaos,represented by black.It is notible that several of the greatest mounted barbarian kings, who in some cases had conquered great stretches of the mainland, met their fate, as it were, attacking the republics colonies, and its iron willed legions.

During the colonial, and imperial age the NRI was erilly silent, some of the mainland nations took this as a sign of weakness, and prepared a navel expidition, only to have it sunk in thier own harbor after informents to the republic had notified it of the inpeding danger, the NRI was busilly colonising distant lands, securing valuble trade routes, and luxury goods, valued to this day.

in the pre modern era, the distance of the NRI would prove invaluble to the fate of the mainland, never subject to the nation of Calgacusia, or the Calgacusian Democratic Alliance, the NRI became a bastion of safty for fleeing politicle refugees, a place to reform, to plot and plan, and recieve unofficial help from the NRI government after the first civil war of civfanatica. The second civfanatica civil war was started by official guard legionaries of the republic, and served in many of the most importamt battles of the war.

Today the NRI republi sits atop many of the most valuble air, and seafaring international trade routes, from which it extracts reasonable tolls for.The primary religion of the nation is over 85% Roman polytheist, with monotheistic religions slowlly on the decrease,possible becaus of the recent decision to never allow a "mission" on the terriorty of the NRI republic, or any nation within the Novus republic (known officially, anyway, as the NRI republic)With mighty mable columns and temples dotting the landscape, nevermind the fact that over a fourth of all the land is set up for conservation, with harsh penalties for develpment, the republic is regerded as one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL WAS DEVELOPED WHEN KETOSH WAS LOCATED IN A DIFFERENT REGION (West Central Asia) AND WILL HAVE TO BE EDITED, EITHER BY MYSELF OR BY A SCENARIO AUTHORITY TO FIT WITH CIVFANATICA

Replacing "West Central Asia" with Civfanatica might be a good way to start.

History:
500 BC: Bruceish peoples settle in the area that will one day be Ketosh.

1 - 100 AD: Barbarian peoples move down and raid the banks of the West Central Asian river system, eventually settling in what would later become eastern Ketosh.

500: Zomarei founded on the West Central Asian river system by Bruceish peoples as a trading post. It quickly becomes an important cultural center and grows to dominate trade in the region.

600: The Zomareian Dynasty is founded by a man known only as Zomarklinteff (foremost of leaders in ancient Ketoshian). It will produce a line of kings that will rule Zomarei and Ketosh for over a thousand years.

650: Zomareian ruler Shetek Neel conquers the barbarian cities of Mehndigrad and Vishi, solidifying Zomarei's economic and military hegemony over the local river system. He will reign for an unusually long period of time, ever sending out expeditions to distant lands.

720: Reign of Krycheck Neel, edeff (the builder). Builds great palace in Zomarei and establishes a zoo, housing animals from all over West Central Asia.

1000: Reign of Zetek Hosh. After a period of decline, he re-establishes Zomareian hegemony, pernamently establishing himself in the former barbarian lands and absorbing smaller Bruceish states on the shores of Lake Nicator.

1250: Zomareian colonies established in oasi in the Tomsa Desert and along the feet of the Lange mountains.

1300: To help govern his vast lands, the new Zomareian King, Lesh, travels to the zoo to seek the advice of the keepers of large animals, whom he considers to be very wise. This is the begining of the Ketoshian Senate.

1330: Lesh II, known as the Reformer, adopts the name "Ketosh" for his lands, signalling the creation of a nation rather than many lands under Zomareian control. He invites large animal keepers and clowns from all over Ketosh to attend the Senate meetings in the zoo.

1400: Senate debate heats up when, for the first time, more clowns show up to a session than large animal keepers. Battle ensues, and the leader of the clowns is victorious. To show his new authority to smash opposition to his legislation, he adopts the title Ringmaster. This sets important precedents.

1500: Ketosh expands to its southeasternmost point, taking the last independent barbarian stronghold. Meanwhile, shores of Lake Kallinikos colonized, and mining expands greatly in the future mining district.

1600: King Aaff, upset at his odd-sounding name, orders the reformation of the Ketoshian language. This is done by an elite group of linguists called the hashtaeffx. They quickly rename themselves pi Hashka'ai, and their efforts produce the modern Ketoshian language. They establish a university that will one day give rise to one of Ketosh's largest cities.

1650: The Zomarei Zoo is offically converted into a meeting place for the Ketoshian Senate.

1700: A new palace is built for the Ketoshian rulers, directly north of the Senate building. The old palace grounds are converted into a university.

1800: Ketosh now at current borders, with the exception of Larland and Kelmire.

1950's: Radioactive elements discovered in Mining District. Ketosh becomes nuclear power.

1963: American Cultural Missionaries (Steve and Tony) arrive in Ketosh. Populace quickly converted to American dialect of English Language.

1964: Steve the American Cultural Missionary delcared Heir to the Throne by King Cyrus, over the King's own son, John. Cyrus dies several months later, ending the rule of the Zomareian Dynasty. Still a missionary for American Culture, Steve claims the throne and sponsors a nation-wide contest to find the most buxom-yet-skinny blonde in all of Ketosh, and takes her as his queen.

1980: John Zomarei, son of King Cyrus and passed over for the throne, leads a sucessfull bloodless coup after the death of Steve and his Queen from drug overdose. While he embraces the English language, he begins a reactionary period in Ketosh's history, quickly filling the Senate with his Conservative Party allies. For the next twenty years, John cycles between periods of dynamic one-man dictatorships and personal isolation with mass deference to the Senate

2000: King John, now old, appoints a series of regents for himself, as he is heirless. One leaves for a more lucrative job in the private sector, the other clearly shows no interest in suceeding John. A young individual named Bruce, apointed to the mostly ceremonial role of King's Representative to the Senate, becomes the closest thing to an executive figure after the resignation of the second regent. A new series of elections brings Liberal Tibor Monroe in as Ringmaster. John dies that night and Bruce is crowned King, with full support of the Senate, who expects him to become a secondary figure to the Ringmaster. The opposite is true; the new King forces the Senate and Ringmaster Monroe to swear an oath of inferiority to him. The current Ketoshian political system is born.

Present day Dolshkovia is a tiny country in Northwestern Civfanatica with a small, intelligent, hard-working population with a strong sense of national pride. Managing to keep it's independence in even the biggest mainland wars, Dolshkovia is often home to the headquarters of large foreign coroporations and a popular getaway to tourists (despite it's cool climate).

Before 200 C.E. the area that is now Dolshkovia was dominated by various barbarian tribes of fierce warriors that allowed no strong authority to gain a foothold in the region. However this would soon change with the appearance of Èekiæ Dolškovi in around 352 C.E. Uniting the northernmost tribes under his banner, he swept down and completed the unification of all peoples that spoke the common tounge by 387 C.E. Dolškovi, though laying the groundwork for the country, had a short rule. He was killed in a peasent revolt in 395 C.E.

The Dolškovi dynasty however, lasted much longer. Dolškovi III put the nobles in their place by 474 C.E. and soon created a strong united Dolshkovian Kingdom. Protected by the Dolshkovian mountain range around it's borders, Dolshkovia was allowed several centuries of cultural development. Emre Kinskanskovi and
Mesaž Edetovi produced several literary works that are popular to this day.

The good times did not last. By 900 C.E., the countries monarchy was weakening. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, Dolshkovia was absorbed into several of the larger empires in the mainland and remained under foreign rule untill 1343 C.E. By then, a young knight from Hifofa started a revolution. Popularized by the artistic works of Remes Ignashskovi, the revolution succeeded in 1389 C.E. when Dolshkovia once again became a seperate entity as a constitutional monarchy.

Dolshkovia remained fairly quite for a long time after that. It's northern location prevented it from becoming a merchant power, but Faroh Emiliesovi succeeded in starting up a powerful mining industry. Dolshkovian metals, and what Dolshkovian smiths crafted from them became a valuable commodity throughout the world. In 1893, Rolshko Iskiovi started a new revolution. Blaming a corrupt goverment for neglecting the people, Iskiovi became the first ruler of communist Dolshkovia.

However, when Iskiovi died, key figures in the communist goverment started abusing their power. In 1946 C.E., a young Dolshkovian liutenant had had enough. Poyskop Liftvafovi, the hero of modern-day Dolshkovia, started the most recent revolution. Mobilizing the opressed populus into an efficient modern army, he waged war against the corrupt goverment. His good friend Èeley Grinovi had in the meanwhile convinced foreign nations to recognize the new "People's Republic of Dolshkovia" through a series of diplomatic journeys. Grinovi returned in time to help Liftvafovi in the final battle, a tank dominated affair at Dolškovskia. Liftvafovi was shot during the battle, and lived just long enough to see the new flag fly over Dolškovskias old-castle in 1953 C.E.. Grinovi was thrust into the role of the fisrt president of P.R.D. and served untill 1960 C.E. Arun Oshkprofovi, the current president, is working hard to upkeep the ideals Grinovi and Liftvafovi fought for half a century ago.

Just take a road map and look for the biggest cities, Thats what I did with map w/ cities of the Roman empire after Alexandria, I ran out of ideas....

The Awakening Empire is an ancient civilization, based upon their belief system of enlightenment and hard-work. Tradition states that the empire was founded in the city of Koan by Nicuzn. After appointing himself Junzi, he set upon a brief period of expansion. However, the Awakening Empire had settled on a small island in the far north of the Civfanatica region, a barren wasteland of rock and ice. The empire soon covered the entire island, but had trouble supporting the populace with the scarce food. The Awakening Empire was isolationist, and limited their contact with others in the Civfanatica region, and virtually ignored those from outside regions. But to feed the people Nicuzn was forced to break complete isolation and make trade agreements with those nearby. Upon contact with other cultures, the empire learned how large the world truly was, and how strong his rivals were. To protect the empire, an army was created. At first it was an unorganized collection of devoted citizens with various crude weapons. Nicuzn saw to it that rules and orders were applied to this army. Many monks were ordered to train and discipline the warriors. This led way to the Enlightend Defender, an order of monks who had forsaken their vows to protect the empire at all cost. These warrior were savage and zealous in their protection of the empire, and those who saw them in combat were reluctant to attack. While some invasions were attempted, they were ill-equipped to deal with the harsh terrain and weather of the empire. But the empire's location is both strategically useless and resource poor, meaning few nations wanted it anyway. Nicuzn ruled his empire for many years, and upon his death rule was passed to his daughter, Time. Legend states, however, that Nicuzn did not die, but ascended to higher plane of existence. This belief means that while the empire is governed by his descendants, Nicuzn himself is still considered the ruler.

Medieval
Little is known about the Awakening Empire during this time period. Except for a few trade ships, travel to this island was forbidden to outsiders, and few outsiders wanted to visit. What is known is that during this time period the empire began to better adapt to their environment, and some of the most productive designs came out of the empire.

Industrial
During the industrial revolution the empire ended it's isolation. An increasing demand for food and resources meant trade had to be more open. While other nations were expanding their empires and setting up colonies, the Awakening remained on their island. Without the ability to easily protect far-flung colonies, the empire relied more upon its industrious designs and cultural works to trade for resources it needed. Some nations thought that, while strategically unimportant, the Awakening would be easy to conquer and increase their nation's borders. Fortunately, the invaders still made the mistake of not preparing for the island's harsh climate. That and the determined resolve of the Awakening Armies meant that all invasions failed, though some enjoyed minor success before they were driven off.

Modern
Today the empire is highly industrious, producing many goods used in the Cinfanatica region. However, they are still isolationist to a degree, and are scorned by other nations for their anti-social standard. Many personal liberties are given to the citizens, but the government is still a monarch dynasty, governed by the descendents of Nicuzn. All citizens are also required to be Neoist in religion, or face immediate deportation.

*Note - I'm new to the Civfanatica region, if my history doesn't fit you can change it. If you do change it, please try to keep the part I highlighted in bold.

Oh great. If nobody has a problem with it, I'd take the Federal Empire part of the map.

@ Junzi Nicuzn- either change your history to suite a mainlender one, go back to your origional location, or, if you want, I can change the geography a bit to make it an island

also, I need every one to sepcify what sort of a UU thaey want, I'll decide how many every one can get (either 1 or 2, not sure yet), and I'll post mine later, remember, If I or several people feel they will unbalence the scenario I reserve the right to edit the desired stats.

In 2027, the anti-imperialist state of California declared indepedence form the USA. The United States could do little about it, since all of the American troops were in Iraq, Venezuela, Indonesia. However, the New Califorenia Republic lasted only 2 months, since it was overwelmed by guerilla groops. The Popular Coalition of Pimps Rights(PCPR) was one of these groups, based in Oakland. However, with their armies of warrior hoes, they soon took over the northern half of California. Southern California was recaptured by US troops on their way back from a humiliating defeat in the oil fields of Venezuala. King Bush IV, after discovering Californias vast oil wealth, retook Southern California, while the PCPR controlled the northern part. Shortly afterward, the Pimp Republic was declared. Fortunantly for the hoes and all other women, the Sir Pimpalot and Bishop Don Magic Won, the Pimp Masta and Vice Pimp Masta of the Pimp Republic, treated thier hoes nicely and weren't sexist. To this day, the Democratic People's Republic of Pimp (which is the official name, but most just call it the Pimp Republic) is ruled by an absolut ruler, or Pimp Masta and prostitution is legal in the pimp Republic; the only other place on Earth where it is legal except for the Netherlands and Nevada.

A few problems there "Pimp"

A) your not in the Civfanatica Nations States region

B)This isnt the real world- california,Nevada,the U.S as a whole,and the Netherlands dont exist

C)I dont happen to like a good deal of thoes city names

D)Brothels are legal in a great deal of countries

E) Citys with just "new" before there name dont count as new cities, they would come about eventually due to the game anyway

F)"pimp" implys Illegal prostitution (brotheles dont have pimps), somthing I dont condone, and wont be in any scenario I make, as long as it legal (in a brothel, and allowed by the state/nation) I dont have a problem with it
