Building the UN

We are a short time away from reaching the Modern Age, and it appears that Fission will be our first researched tech, assuming we do not get it free.

Therefore, we need to start discussing the placement of the UN. I want to start the prebuild in 10 turns, meaning not this coming turn chat, but the one after that. But where shall we build it>

We have seen many wonders be completed in Capitoline, with the city of Gorina leading the way. While those cities were building wonders, the other cities of Fanatica were supporting them, creating workers and troops. In addition, Capitoline recently complete the two new Small Wonders - Intelligence Agency and Battlefield Medicine. Capitoline has seen the benefits of Wonders - it is time to allow the other provinces of Fanatica a chance to share in the glory of these massive projects!

But where? Where shall we build the United Nations building?

Citizens of Fanatica - I call upon you to identify several cities from Esquiline, Quirnial, Aventine and Cælian that we may build the UN in. I especially want the Governors of the provinces to discuss this, as they ultimately control the build queues.

Iron Hills makes sense as a location for the UN...it has the Iron Works and has a large potential for further shield growth.

Iron Hills would definatly be the best location, with the Iron Works and all.

last I checked, the Romans weren't Scientific

I want some good Wonder in Gorina as well. We have to get Gorina a Camelot Award.

So either UN or SETI in Gorina.

Iron Hills is a rather good site for the UN, however its production is currently far outstripped by Aureus, our best producer, even above Gorina. I think we should wait a bit to see how much production Iron Hills can get before we decide on building it there as opposed to Aureus or Gorina.

Gorina already has a bunch of wonders anyway. Aureus is a good choice but it may not have all the potential that Iron Hills has for shield production.

I agree, Iron Hills would be a good choice.

The UN? why build it? The UN is only good for peacekeeping, not peacemaking.

To prevent our opponents to call for the elections, wich we would for sure lose.

Anyways, Aureus would be a good location.

So what ?

In every Demogame there is 1 big goal "To win" and several side-goals (Camelot award for instance).

I want Gorina to get a Camelot Award as that city is out only shot for this. And it is not limitting our big goal, to win.

But with the SETI in Gorina I am happy as well. (As long as it gets a Camelot Award.

Yes, I agree with building the SETI in Gorina. However, Aureus has already been chosen as the site for the UN.
