Well, in my opinion, the Incas are one of the worse civilizations. They have a terrible unique unit, and don't have the best traits, so I think a good challenge would be an Incan game.

Rules:
Archipeligo
Large sized map
Raging Barbs
80% Water
Culurally linked start locations
Conquest is only victory enabled
Accelated Production (I want everyone to get to do a lot of playing, and this will help, by adding in more units, and cities)
Preserve Random Seed
No cultural conversions
Other civs are: Mayans, English, Byzantines, Scandinavians, Dutch, and everyone else is random
Difficulty level: Warlord
AI agression: Highest

I'm looking for four other players. We will each play ten turns in a row, a total of the 300. We each have 72 hours to play our turn (least is best), unless you make clear that you have a special circumstance. If you want to be skipped, just ask, and we will. Once you are done, post a save, and tell us, so we can go to the next turn. Give us a progress report. Post to say you've gotten the save, and so we know it's your turn, if anybody doesn't within 24 hours, somebody else please PM them to let them know it's their turn. If you say you've got it, and then don't post in the next 72 hours, the next person can take the save, and play your turn. If you get a PM saying it's your turn, and don't respond in 24 hours, you will again be skipped. If you are skipped three times in a row, you will be off the list, and someone can take your place. If you ask to be skipped, that does not count. Other than that, have fun!

I'm getting bored, so I'll begin this game now, and other people can join in as they join.

Well I'm bored waiting for my game to begin...so count me in gogf, I want to at least get one game started before christmas :D

One question : WARLORD? are you kidding? otherways, yes I'm in? No seriously, what's so hard that in this game that we have to play warlord?

mfG mitsho

Well, I just kind of want to play a fairly easy game. Remember, we are trying to compeltely crush all AI civs (I won't count points as a victory), with a fairly large disadvantage: I have set up a lot of seafaring civs, on an archipeligo map. It's not supposed to be hard, it's supposed to be fast, and with a lot of fighting. So, if you don't want to play, that's okay, but I suggest you do, as you sound like you are quite good, and can help a lot.

Oh, good. I'll put you in as third, is that okay?

Here's what I think should be our strategy:
Go up the tech tree to map making as fast as you can (starting with alphabet), so we can settle other islands. Then get philosophy, and then literature (as the free tech), and build TGL.

What do you think of the strategy?

Also, I'm getting sort of bored, so I'm going to start the game. We can either play through your turns, or play through your turns, and go back to me, and keep doing that, until someone else joins. I'll post the save in about 10 minutes! Also, I changed it to five turns each, otherwise we would have each played like a total of five times. So, I'll be right back. :)

Isn't five a bit low?
On this level we can allow ourself to first research iron working. We need iron to know what we should settle. :) Don't start a war with the byzantines early on.

mfG mitsho

Yes, perhaps your right. I'll change it to ten (twenty would give us each too few oppurtunities to play). But I'm still going to research alphabet first, because we need to be able to contact people. Then iron working. I'll now play the next five (to get to ten).

Here's where we are so far:

1. See there is sea near where we start (on the right), move a scout to see if it's a lake, or ocean, it's ocean, so I move our settler there.
Screenshot of start location:

GGF1_Start.jpg

2. Found Cuzco on the sea, start build Chasquis Scout
3. Pop a goodie-hut, and get a settler. It's on the sea, and I found Tiwanaku, which starts building a chasqui scout
4.
5.

End screenshot:

Remember, Chasquis Scouts ignore the movement penalty on hills and mountains, so this is a pretty good start:

Okay, since we're now doing ten turns each, I'll play five more...

WHOA you started already? God this is a bizzle of shizzle! Well I looked at your strategy and all I know is that getting tech quick means a chance of scientific leader for go for the tech quick (since such low difficulty)

I'm not sure that we really need to wait for anyone else, because this game is on such a low difficulty it should only be counted as a pass time game and nothing more.

i don't mind playing second either

Right, it's not really supposed to be a challenge.

Turn log:

6. Build Chasquis Scout in Cuzco, send out scouting
7. Build Chasquis Scout in Tiwanaku, pop a goodie-hut in the north, and get warrior code
8.
9. Build worker in Tiwanaku
10. Cuzco's culture borders grow

GGF1-First Save

Everybody, even if you haven't joined yet, the fact that we have started should not abstruct you from joining. You are still welcome, and there are only two spots left...

Conquests and warlord? Excellent. Count me in :)

hmm, perhaps it wasn't that beautiful to build scouts on a small little island? They even don't have enough points to attack with, have they? I think we should concentrate on building up an infrastructure (cause we for sure cannot play with a standing army, we need the money :)).
There's place for three more cities, I think. Shall we even build another one between Cuzco and Tiwanaku to catch the tabacco?

my proposal:
city 1 on one down and four to the left of cuzco!
city 2 on three west, one northwest and two north of cuzco
city 3 on two north and two northwest of cuzco!

What do you think?

mfG mitsho

Well after being gone only 3 hours or so...ugh...

such AWESOME land :goodjob: this might be a challenge based on the terrain and its hindering of our ability to expand and grow

of well, WHO CARES?! :D

i got the save and will do what I can, make all the comments you wish when it's posted.

Well God, you must have been afraid of Incan superiority to place us here! My turns were quite amuzing in the 30 or so minutes I played, so come and have a gander will you not?

Turn 1? (it says this is turn 11, I thought I was suppose to start at end of your turn 10 gogf?) 3450 B.C.

Set max to Science to get our alphabet foothold on the world, WE NEED A NAVY PEOPLES!

Turn 2... 3400 B.C.
*worker mines BG near Cuzco, moved the scouts so we can see all of empire (and no barbs come up)

Turn 3... 3350 B.C.
-Tiwanaku worker --barracks (just because I can)

Turn 4... 3300 B.C.
-Cuzco settler--settler
*settler goes to next point given by Mitsho, workers mine BG next to Tiwanaku

Turn 5... 3250 B.C.
*Incans realize Parkey is NOT butter

Turn 6... 3200 B.C.
*Small village uprising in defense of Parkay actually being butter, uprising squelched soon after
:ar15:
Turn 7... 3150 B.C.
*Changed barracks to settler in Tiwanaku, I was being lazy these turns, workers begin connection of roads from Cuzco to Tiwanaku

Turn 8... 3100 B.C.
MACHU PICCHU augments our boarders across the island, but it is shameful where it is located.

Turn 9... 3050 B.C.
LEARN ALPHABET! We can make crossword puzzles W00T [dance]
Begin our MAX research of writing

Turn 10... 3000 B.C.
*Next turn will complete road to two major cities, PLZ make Cuzco build curragh when settler is done so we can get OUT OF HERE

Here is what we look like now... 3000 years before we are saved..

ggf1-3000bczoomout.JPG

I chose zoomout just so I can drum it into you guys WE NEED GALLEYS

Here is the save... right here, for you Mitsho

A few things,

1. Keep Max research going (and pull it down when you can for more gold) cuz it's not hurting us right now.

2. Only 5 cities can go on this island...MAN i wanted one of those whale resource!

3. I think following my research path will be helpful, but change what you want.

and finally
4. We might want to go for GL AND Great Lighthouse (or GL2), don't forget that on warlord  shield production for AI is in the pooper ;) and so we can EASILY nab those two if we get our workers mining BOTH CUZCO AND TIWANAKU right away!

After the Curragh, go for a pre build on something for GL or GL2

ok, finally i got it, i had 'some' problems with the download. (I really need a faster comp).

I look waht i can do, but first i wonna say one thing: look at Tiwanaku. Does it really make sense to build a settler there?
